"Quick and timely response. Wasn't thrilled with pulling all the foam out of my pool after I had to call them out to scrape the foam down so the drywall giys could do their job.. They scraped it and left piles if foam all over my house for us to clean up and it blew into our pool and sucked up through our pump.....otherwise ...descent bang for the buck"

"I had an amazing experience with this spray foam insulation company. From the first phone call, they were upfront, honest, and very knowledgeable. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would and walked me through the whole process before starting. They insulated my attic and part of my garage, and the difference was noticeable the same day ? the rooms stay cooler, and the AC doesn?t run nearly as much"

"This company was quick to respond, pleasant to work with and did a quality job for less than other companyâ s. The clean up was spotless after the tear out of our old insulation. I would definitely recommend them!!"

"Very satisfied with their work. It was a lot of hard work removing the car 15 year old blown insulation and then spraying the foam insulation on the underside of the roof decking throughout the entire attic of the home. These men worked very hard for a whole day spraying the foam everywhere and I expect that the attic will remain cool this summer and should cut my electrical consumption significantly for running the air conditioner. I am a very satisfied customer."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Insulation can be easy to install, depending on the condition of your walls, but there are many safety considerations and potential challenges involved. For example, most types of insulation are made from materials that can cause irritation if inhaled or if they come into contact with your skin. Additionally, installing insulation incorrectly can actually make moisture issues in your home worse.

Unfaced wall insulation is easier to cut and install, making it the better choice for a DIY project. It’s also more affordable. But if it’s unfaced, you’ll likely need to add a vapor barrier to reach your desired R-value and efficiency, as it doesn’t offer any moisture barrier.

Faced insulation uses paper or foil to create a built-in barrier and doesn’t require an extra step. It’s also more fire-resistant and safe. But it’s quite a bit more expensive and a little bit harder to work with as a DIYer.

You should not put fiberglass insulation in basements, since fiberglass is known to trap mold and mold is more commonly grown and produced in basements. You should also avoid placing insulation near water heaters, oil burners, or other hot appliances. For more information about the best and worst places to install insulation, consider hiring an insulation professional.

Unless your cellulose insulation is wet, moldy, or showing signs of mildew or pests, there’s no need to remove it before adding new insulation on top of it. Inspect your insulation thoroughly before adding the new insulation, and if you’re unsure how to assess the presence of mold or mildew, talk to a mold remediation specialist near you.
