"I have always been fascinated by Solar. Always wanted to get it. It finally makes sense and is a no brained once you sit down and look at the numbers. I found 3D solar by looking through reviews on Google. I wanted to find 3 types of companies, one where the reviews emphasized price, one where reviews emphasized customer service and the last that looked like a really big outfit. I had all of them come out to quote me. The guy with the lowest price clearly made the point that he would beat anybody. The company that had a big outfit had all kinds of people calling me and was so annoying and the sales people weren’t trained as well. The company that the reviews emphasized customer service was 3-D Solar. I kept hearing the name Ryan at 3-D Solar in many of the reviews so when I reached out to 3D Solar I soecifically asked for Ryan to come to my home. To make a long story short, the best customer service I have ever received. They were a cut above and the other companies didn’t compare. This is important to me because I am going to have these panels for 25 years or more and I want a good company to help me when I need it. Since getting my system 4 months ago, I have had a couple minor hiccups, not with the solar system itself, but with the consumption meter which was wired incorrectly. They fixed it quickly and now I can record the data on my phone with accuracy. I got an 11.76 kw which is the max that you can get in a tier 1 system. I went a little bigger because we are about to build a pool and that will take more power. The cost of my first 3 bills with a complete billing cycle in the middle of the summer was 1st) $53 2nd) $21 3rd) $28. We just hit October so I am looking forward to my Bill going down as my consumption goes down. My understanding is that during the fall, and winter months when it is cooler this is when you begin to store up credits with the electric company as you produce more power with your panels than you actually use that will help offset higher consumption usage during the summer making your bills during the summer lower. It took the electric company about 60 days for everything to balance out as they put in a new meter. By your second full bill everything is straight. This company is amazing from sales to installation. Incredible. Ryan is an absolute stud!! The installers were professional and did a very clean job. The price is right where most companies will be however their service is some of the best I have ever received. I am super happy and only have one regret. I wish I would have done this 3 years ago when we first bought our house. Electricity costs increase an average of 4% year over year based on a 25 year average. After my system is paid for, I will save an estimated $60,000 over a 25 year period. That is awesome and that makes me very happy!!!"

"LCD readout on the heater did not work and hence I never knew what temp the heater was trying to reach.  Paul offered me the option of a used part at half price or a brand new one at regular price.  I now can set the temp of the water without guessing, and don't have to turn the heater off when the water becomes too warm.  Visiting family is happy.
I asked Paul about the pool pump as well.  He gave me advice on when to replace it, but did not try to find more work himself, or expense for me.

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

While often confused with an endless pool, an infinity pool features a slim outer edge to trick the eye and create the appearance that the pool blends with the sky. An endless pool, on the other hand, is a small pool with a propulsion system that allows swimmers to swim against a current. These two types of pools have similar names but very different designs.

If a pool turns green after adding salt, there’s a good chance the salt is the problem. Certain brands of salt have high levels of iron that cause pool water to take on a green hue. Test your pool water to determine if this is the issue. The green color will usually filter out. Brush the sides of the pool to knock the iron off.

This is just one reason a pool can turn green that is specific to adding salt. Many other reasons a pool can turn green include algae growth, low chlorine levels, a faulty filter, etc.

You can make your pool accessible to people with disabilities or mobility issues by adding a sloped entrance to the pool and including handrails at all entry and exit points. A pool lift, though expensive, makes it especially easy for people with all levels of mobility to enter and exit a pool safely. Upgrading your whole home to be more accommodating? Here are several tips to make your home more accessible for those with disabilities or those aging in place.

It’s not ideal to swim in a cloud pool, as it can be a sign of algae, bacteria, or calcium buildup as well as chlorine, pH, or alkalinity imbalances. It is best to avoid cloudy water in pools until you determine the cause of the color change.

No, shock and chlorine are not the same thing, though they are related and both are used for pool maintenance. Regular chlorine, often in the form of tablets, is a sanitizer used for routine, day-to-day maintenance to keep a steady chlorine level. Pool shock, however, is a highly concentrated dose of chlorine used periodically for a more intense cleaning. It rapidly raises chlorine levels to fix issues like cloudy water or algae growth and also eliminates chloramines, which are byproducts of regular chlorination. Because their purposes and concentrations differ, they are not interchangeable, and proper pool care typically requires using both.
