"I am very happy with the results. The installation process was smooth and professional, and the technicians were courteous and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me clearly and answered all my questions. They also cleaned up after themselves and left no mess behind. The new HVAC system is a Carrier model, which is one of the best HVAC companies of 2023 according to U.S. News & World Report."

"Excellent service. When we called AAA Vacuum for service on our central vacuum the gentleman who answer said he would have someone out that day. With in a few hours the service tech came out and repaired the vacuum for just the service call charge. Very satisfied with their service and prompt attention."

"Don installed a VACUFLO DB3000 central vacuum base unit for me this evening. Great guy - dedicated and knowledgeable, and quality workmanship. The previous owner replaced the inlet valves but left the wires on one of them inside the wall, unconnected. Don was able to find it amongst adjacent phone and cable wires, dig it out and connect it. I d highly recommend both VACUFLO and Don to anyone looking to replace their central vac."

Install Central Vacuum questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a central vacuum cleaner system averages about $1,600, ranging from $1,100 to $2,200, depending on the size of the system, add-on features, your home’s location, and age of the system. Accessibility to running lines and other equipment can also impact the project cost. Consult a central vacuum cleaner installation company for an accurate estimate of your installation cost.

A central vacuum system can be a worthwhile investment depending on your needs and budget. While the upfront cost is higher than a traditional vacuum cleaner, it offers significant long-term benefits. These systems can save you time and make cleaning your home easier, as you only need to carry the hose and vacuum head, eliminating the need to lug a heavy unit up and down stairs. They also tend to operate more quietly and can improve indoor air quality. The convenience and performance over many years may make it a valuable addition to your home if you can budget for the initial installation.

Whether talking about a whole-house central vacuum or a portable vacuum cleaner, the expected cost of major repair work should always be balanced against its replacement cost. However, excluding high-cost motor replacements or major electrical trouble, repairs on a central vacuum system are typically far less than the cost of purchasing and installing a new one.

Yes, installing a central vacuum system typically adds value to your home. The ease of use, longevity, and superior suction power of a central vacuum system can add up to $2,000 to your home’s value if you decide to sell. Potential buyers may consider the central vacuum a perk to purchasing your home.

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.
