Small jobs welcome

"I called A Helpful Handyman to clean out a dryer vent. We have had the service done a few times before, but no one ever did it anywhere near as well as they did. Believe me, he takes his work seriously. Started inside the dryer and went all the way from there to the outside vent and I donâ t mean just putting a vacuum cleaner in there. He had proper tools and did more than anyone Iâ ve ever seen before. I can honestly say, I believe this was the only time it had ever been cleaned properly. I really believe if I had used him the last time I had this service performed, I would not be doing it again for a long time This quote for the job was also more competitive than anybody else we ever used. I definitely would highly recommend him, and will use him again myself for sure"

"Joshua was extremely conscientious about his schedule and his work. If he said he was going to call or arrive at a specific time, he did. He also kept me updated on his progress and was concerned about getting things just right. He thought I might need more paper at one point because he wanted to get the pattern lined up just right. He improvised in the end so that I didn't have to order more. I was told by another wallpaper hanger that peel and stick wallpaper was very hard to get right, but Joshua did a beautiful job. I couldn't be more pleased! I would use him again and would highly recommend his work to anyone!"

"They did fine. They came and gave me an estimate prior to doing the work. They worked on the weekends. They came and knocked out just under a half acre of the existing fence. They brought a small crew that morning and were done by dark. The project took two days total to complete."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Prime and repaint walls after removal to ensure a clean, finished surface.

You’ll need to wash the walls to remove wallpaper adhesive residue after removal as part of the prep process for painting or rehanging wallpaper. Old adhesive can cause texture issues and prevent paint or wallpaper from adhering properly to the wall’s surface.

To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

The simple nature of peel and stick wallpaper means it should come off much more easily than traditional wallpaper that is glued to your walls. You’ll still want to work slowly and carefully to avoid tearing it, but most peel and stick wallpaper should come off without a chemical agent to loosen it.
