"It is only half finished. But so far everything is going very well. It takes about a month between the initial application and the finishing work. They are scheduled to return to complete the job the first part of January."

"Michael removed old siding, two different layers, one of which was very old, now a banned product and replaced the siding on my entire house. He also painted everything outside. The price was very fair and yes, I'd hire him again. He's actually worked on my new house too, and I moved 70 miles away from PCB! He's not just a contractor; he became my friend during the process!"

Small jobs welcome

"I called A Helpful Handyman to clean out a dryer vent. We have had the service done a few times before, but no one ever did it anywhere near as well as they did. Believe me, he takes his work seriously. Started inside the dryer and went all the way from there to the outside vent and I donâ t mean just putting a vacuum cleaner in there. He had proper tools and did more than anyone Iâ ve ever seen before. I can honestly say, I believe this was the only time it had ever been cleaned properly. I really believe if I had used him the last time I had this service performed, I would not be doing it again for a long time This quote for the job was also more competitive than anybody else we ever used. I definitely would highly recommend him, and will use him again myself for sure"

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Rubbing alcohol may help dissolve stubborn wallpaper adhesive that remains after removal, but be sure to apply it carefully to prevent damaging your walls. Apply a small amount using a cotton swab or pad, then gently scrape or wipe the adhesive away.

Because poison ivy and similar plants can cause potentially life-threatening allergic reactions depending on your sensitivity, it's best to hire a professional to remove it. Hiring a local lawn care service or other professional also increases your chances of successful eradication so that you don't have to deal with the issue again several months down the road.

As long as the surface you’re putting the tile on is properly prepped, peel-and-stick backsplashes should stay on and last anywhere from 3 to 5 years. The best way to ensure the tile stays on is to sand down and clean the wall before applying your design.

If you’re installing new wallpaper and have leftover glue, you can remove unused wallpaper paste from the bucket or pan it’s in by letting it dry. If it’s an oil-based paste, seal it in a plastic bag and throw it in the garbage. Otherwise, toss the leftover wallpaper paste in the trash. Although it’s water-soluble, don’t rinse unused wallpaper paste down the sink because it could dry in the pipes and cause a blockage.

Many peel-and-stick wallpapers aren’t moisture-resistant, so if you install them in high-humidity rooms, mold can grow behind the wallpaper. It’s best to reserve peel-and-stick wallpaper for bedrooms, living rooms, and other rooms with lower humidity levels. Not only does this minimize the risk of mold growth, but it also keeps the wallpaper from bubbling or peeling.
