"I recently had my fence replaced by Stand String Fencing of Sarasota, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very beginning, communication was clear and professional—they showed up on time, walked me through all the options, and gave me a fair estimate without any pressure. The crew worked hard and paid attention to every little detail. They kept the area clean during the project and finished earlier than expected. "I initially hired Mr.Handyman to investigate and fix a leak around my window. They told me on the phone based on the photos I provided that the estimate for the job will be about $775 to find and fix the source of the leak and replace the drywall. I believe they use predatory and deceitful practices to inflate the final pricing, as it ended up being far higher than original estimates. When their handyman showed up, the estimate changed to $1010. I was never verbally informed that any of these estimates did not include materials. After removing the drywall, the handyman never found the source of the leak. I had to drive out to the property to find and fix it myself. I then called the handyman to re-install the drywall after the issue was fixed. I was then given another invoice for $977, so now we are at a total $1433, of which they claim $371 is materials. They never found or fixed the actual issue as promised but still charged for the full job. I thought we were being overcharged, since the original estimate was for finding and fixing the actual source of the leak, which they never did. When I questioned the materials charge and asked for receipts, their manager told me he would not send me any receipts even though they have them in the system because "its not their protocol" and that they put an upcharge on materials. When I questioned how much % the upcharge is, or if they can provide actual pricing of the materials, he said “when you buy at Publix, you don't ask them how much they upcharge for your food". This makes no sense, as at the store I see the price before I buy something, so I can decide if I want to buy it. Mr.Handyman never provided me with pricing of materials upfront, they just sent me one final price at the end without a breakdown of materials purchased, which they can make up to be anything. This is highly unethical. If this is a cost-plus contract, they should be providing receipts."

"Beware!! This company put a fence in for me and I'm not really impressed for the 1000's of dollars that I spent. I live out of state therefore wasn't there for install. Come to find out once in town that gate is messed up and will hardly open cause when they put hinge on they split the 4x4 therfore it's shifted. Also needed assistance after the hurricane with fixing fence. At first they said they would go check it out in 2 weeks.. The receptionist said they would reach out within 2 weeks. Waited a month and reached out to them again due to not hearing and again they said it would be a couple weeks. Again I never heard from them. Fast forward 2.5 months I called back again and Mr Bill got on the phone and said that he would be out and gave me a day he would be there. When I called to confirm the day they were supposed to be there they canceled.. Nothing but frustration has come from using this company.. so as stated before Beware Usually do not post negative reviews but this company is ridiculous.."

"1, the manager Lais Voltolini was late for the interview to get the job at list 1 1/2 hours, her and crew always late for every job. My husband & I always need it to talk to them about been messy and not been on time. overall, the job was not good. The kitchen cabinet was painted and now is chipping, the shower glass door is a big gap, now we can not take a shower."

"Started off Great! They called everyday to follow up on progress. After receiving 80% of money, Calls stopped, Actually they avoided calls for weeks not knowing what was going on. Lot's of promises and not finished 4 months later. We own a Small 670 sq ft home. They promised it would be complete in 3 -4 weeks. They threw away household items, and have left 22+ items unfinished. 4 months later still not finished. Would never recommend."
