H & Y Fence is a horrible company to do business with. On 4/8/21, I signed a contract with H & Y to remove and replace 6 fence panels surrounding a human waste lift station. H & Y wanted half the money upfront, which I paid them. On 6/29/21, their crew finally came and removed 6 four-foot by six-foot fence panels. They were supposed to reinstall them the next day, 6/30/21. Six weeks later, we are still waiting, and community residents have to look at the human waste lift station. H & Y are in breach of contract. When I call them, I am told someone will call me right back. No one ever does.

Mike See arrived at the scheduled time to review the job and then submitted a proposal. Mike's professionalism and the reasonable proposal, compared to other submitted bids, convinced us to go with H&Y. The installation was done by a 1-man "crew". J. Knepp was highly skilled, efficient and speedy in completing both parts of the job. He was exacting and fully competent in all aspects of fence installation as well as being friendly with a great sense of humor. We were very impressed with the finished product!

HnY were recommended to us to consider when we wanted to install a Fence. we would highly recommend this company to anyone. Mike discussed our needs, and made some suggestions in order to not only comply with HOA Rules but to achieve what we wanted. He adjusted the plans again when changes were required. Sergio and Jesus, our installers, worked extremely **** ** the day of installation. They were courteous, extremely respectful and talked us through a few technical fitting issues that arose.

Very pleased with all aspects from quote, installation and follow-up with H&Y Fence Co. Lee Ann, in the office, was very helpful in answering questions and scheduling the job. Hats off to Diego and Miguel for an excellent installation of the fence and gate. They arrived as scheduled, explained the process, installed the fence and gate without destroying the flower beds and cleaned the property thoroughly after the job was completed, and hauled away the old fence/gate.. I highly recommend H&Y fence company.

H&Y called to set up an estimate. Their estimate was extremely competitive. After estimate, we decided to upgrade to white PVC fence. They showed up on time and did an excellent job. The cost was the exact cost of the estimate. Everyone was was very nice and very professional.

I am leaving the low score mostly for their lack of customer service. They wrongly installed the gate-opening mechanism on the fence that my renters use. I called H&Y a half dozen times only to be told that they couldn't do anything for me. I finally got angry enough that the owner called, came to my home a week later, saw the mechanism and said they installed it wrong! He improved it a bit but it was still a completely unfinished mechanism without a handle or easy way to operate. He said if I wanted an actual opening handle I had to pay another $100. Fine, please give me one of those. Well...that was the last time I saw the owner or anyone else. They never brought me the functioning handle. Now the defunct mechanism has completely jammed and won't open at all. I called H&Y and was told the owner would call me back. Shocker, no call. Horrible lack of customer service. Now I have to call another fence company to finish H&Y's job that I paid $2,000 for. I've seen a lot of other fence companies with a very high number of 5 star reviews. Look for them and pass on H&Y or the day you write them a check will be the last day you see them.

"We went out 3 different times after install and each time the gate was functioning just fine as it was installed properly. The owner came out on the 3rd time and showed the homeowner how to operate the gate and that was the last we heard. Please call if you have any questions."

Nathan did a quick and excellent job replacing posts in the summer heat. Even showed me how one post was severely notched to accommodate an under ground irrigation pipe. The new post was moved away from irrigation pipe and set in place.

The only issue that I had was that the people that they sent out here were unable to communicate in English. Other than that, they did a great job. There was a language barrier. They did a good job. It was difficult to communicate with the workers. I checked with a few other companies and they gave me the best buy. For responsiveness, they actually had an issue with their workers. They were professional, but I couldn’t understand the workers. I think if they are going to be in this country, they need to be able to speak English.

The installers were very efficient. Even my neighbors thought the fence looked great and were impressed by the nice clean-up job the crew did. When they left, it looked almost as though the fence had always been there. They did a really nice job of working the fence around an existing concrete barrier and adjoining the fence with an existing fence. Although they did not install on THE day I would have preferred, they did give me a choice of having them start it one day and finish it the next, OR delay it by one day and have it completed that same day. I understood their schedule had been affected by weather, and appreciated that they included me in the decision of how to proceed. The fence looks great. I would highly recommend them to others.

I had a very good experience with H & Y. Jerry was right on time showing up for the estimate and answered my questions. The job was scheduled 2 or 3 weeks later, and the crew showed up on time and did a very nice job. The fence looks terrific, and I have no complaints. Would definitely recommend to others.

I received in the mail a magazine which listed Five Star rated companies. I received this magazine three years ago and called the window company from it and they were five star so I called the fence company listed. H&Y (Jerry Mills). Jerry was prompt and courteous and understanding as the day he came I was ill. He emailed me an estimate. He came back out again and we reviewed my needs very specifically. I gave a deposit and he said he would call me the third week of Oct to schedule an appt. I came home from PT to find my fence in the process of being taken down, my driveway blocked so I could not park in it and was in complete surprise. I told the man standing by the truck to stop working and have his employer call me immediately. I told Jerry I was not pleased to come home to a project taking place on my property without notification and without me here. He initially back pedaled and told me he had called earlier that morning. I held him accountable telling him calling me and leaving a message on my machine when I am out is not the way I do business. We had a conversation that came up with an agreeable plan to continue the work and the project. Due to my being disabled full account would require more typing than I am able to do. Therefore, the short story goes we had a few more bumps in the road we kept the lines of communication open. He sent his son out to correct and complete the project to my satisfaction.

There was an honest mis-quote. When it was discovered it delayed the job, but they made more than amends and kept the same price with the fence quality we wanted. I would use again, and have recommended.

We first contacted H&Y in July with our initial design. Jerry responded quickly, both with measuring and a written estimate. Due to family health issues we were delayed in having the work completed. We finally settled on the type of fence with their help and the job was completed last week. Even with last minute changes they were professional, courteous and all around nice guys.
I had other estimates with theirs being the best for the amount of fencing and design we choose.
We have received compliments from family and friends. I would highly recommend them to anyone with fencing projects.

The owner showed up on time for the estimate and provided quotes for several options. The fencing came in sooner than expected and was installed very quickly. The work was excellent. The child safety latch we ordered did not arrive with the rest of the materials. Rather than make us wait, the owner purchased the same item from another source, and drove back after the end of the regular work day and installed the part himself. I would definitely use them again.
