"It went really well. We like the indoor carpet and pad. It both looks much better and feels better than the carpet replaced. The outdoor carpet on the porch also looks good. Installers were careful, did a good job, made an effort to stretch the carpet, and cleaned up after themselves."

"I needed to find someone to help me move, at the last minute when my help canceled on me. Ty came through with a truck and 2 assistants. They moved everything out of my apt in 2 1/2 hours. Would definitely use them again."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.

DIY installation is challenging; professionals ensure proper fitting, adhesive application, and long-term durability.

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.

Yes, installing laminate over carpet could negatively affect the resale value of your home. It’s no surprise that homebuyers prefer flooring that someone has installed according to industry standards. Laminate over carpet may raise concerns about the quality and stability of the flooring, impacting the overall perceived value of the property.

It's best to wait until the newly installed carpet has fully settled and dried before moving furniture back into the room. Your carpet installation professionals can provide guidance on the recommended wait time based on factors such as the type of carpet and adhesive used. Moving furniture back in too soon could damage the carpet or affect its adherence to the floor.
