"My HOA required us to clean the roof. In hindsight, the roof was so dirty, it simply looked to my color blind eyes just a normal color of a roof. However, after Steve's crew got down, the roof was a much lighter color than I realized. Not only looked great, but I was much more impressed with the roof. I had them also clean the driveway which was good, but I should've had the driveway sealed afterwards because it just got dirty again. They also sprayed clean the entryway screen which I was again surprised how good it looked when they were done."

"Ryan Quakenbush came out to our home and did a complete roof inspection, sent us closeup pictures of problem areas of the roof, repaired two vent stacks damaged by squirrels and told us no charge - just call them when we decide to get a new roof which could be soon. Could not be more impressed - we will definitely call Proguard and will tell all of our neighbors about them."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

A garage door screen can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you frequently use your garage for activities like a home gym, workshop, or other hobbies. It allows you to enjoy fresh air and natural light without worrying about bugs. Additionally, a screen provides ventilation that can improve air quality when you're working with paints, varnishes, or producing sawdust.

The best option depends on your usage. For occasional use, a DIY fabric screen is a low-cost, simple solution that you can put up and take down as needed. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the space, investing in a customized, professionally installed garage door screen can help transform the area into a new hub for your household.

If you’d rather repair your screen door mesh than replace it, you can patch it. Purchase a mesh patch for screen doors with small holes or tears, especially if the mesh is pretty new. Hardware stores and websites sell mesh patches that are easy to apply with an adhesive or a warm hair dryer. Keep in mind that repairs won’t look as aesthetically pleasing in most cases as a full replacement.

It is generally recommended to remove window screens for the winter, especially in climates with heavy snow, freezing rain, or frigid temperatures. Removing them helps prevent damage to the screen mesh and frames that can be caused by ice and moisture buildup between the screen and the window. Taking out the screens also allows more natural light and warmth into your home during shorter winter days and makes it easier to clean your windows thoroughly. In warmer climates where harsh weather is not a concern, the decision is more about personal preference; some homeowners prefer the clearer view, while others leave them in for convenience.

The best type of window screen for your home depends on your region and your family’s needs. While fiberglass window screens are a popular, affordable, and easy-to-find choice, you may be looking for different benefits, such as a more high-end look, increased strength, or extended durability. The best window screen meets the demands of your home and its residents while staying within your budget.
