"This firm installed 2 Solatubes for me. These light tubes give my rooms more light than I get from an existing skylight in another room. Furthermore, the tubes emit less heat than the skylight, which is important in saving my A/C. The tubes emit a soft blue light at night from the solar battery that comes with the tubes. The installers were very expert and polite. And the office customer service personnel also have been wonderful, kind and caring about my satisfaction with the firm. I'm pleased with the tubes and the service."

"We have a half-moon window in the guest bedroom that we wanted to tint to decrease the amount of heat and sunlight that floods the room. When I first spoke to Robert, he was very cheerful and easy-going on the phone. I am pleased to say that his countenance wasn't any different in person. Robert gave us several options and answered our questions. We opted to place the darker tint without the security film as our windows are new and meets the current hurricane standard for our area. When Robert arrived at our home, he took his shoes off and placed a drop cloth on the floor to prevent any damage or staining to our carpets. He was professional, courteous and gives the impression that he cares for his customers and service that he provides. I would have given him all "A's" but he was late getting to our home. However, in fairness to him, he did call and texted to let me know that he was running behind. I would rehire Robert without hesitation. "I contacted Sunrise Roofing Services for a roof replacement. Karel gave me an estimate was thorough, timely, and to the penny accurate. He explained the entire process including providing insurance and license information. He installed a tarp to prevent any further leaks into my house (no additional cost). The project was delayed because I was out of town so we agreed to a no earlier than start date. When I returned they started the project within one day of that date. They showed up on time (exactly) and I ask to see the permit. They pointed to my front door where they had posted it prior to ringing the bell. I was impressed. The old roof was removed and Florida required nailing patterns completed (including the nailing affidavit). The decking was repaired. A new underlayment, roof, vents, skylights, and flashings were installed. Cleanup was thorough. All of this was completed in one day including local building permit inspections. The following day the owner, Maria Flores, came by for payment. She came prepared with Lien release forms, warranty information, affidavit of contractors final payment as well as an invoice. We settled up while discussing her business. I relayed to her the things that impressed me most. 1. She has an actual place of business (not working out of her house like too many contractors) 2. No down payment required. 3. All of the roof installers are employees (not day workers). 4. All the paperwork was completed and presented in a timely manner. 5. Her employees are top notch. Installing a roof in the summertime in Florida is brutal. They probably deserve a raise. 6. Her company is a certified installer of the CertainTeed roofing line of products. I verified this with CertainTeed prior to contracting her. Maria was cordial, well prepared, and thorough. I found that she runs a professional business with good people and would have no problem recommending her to everyone."

"Done in two days instead of the expected three.  The owner was on site at 5am the first day to make sure he could place the trash trailer in place as soon as we left for work, and was very approachable when questioned arose.  Weather delays were the only issue with regard to the crew showing up to do the work, but once they started they kept working until the job was done.  The end result was A BEAUTIFUL roof under which we feel very comfortable.  They even made sure there were no holes to allow squirrel access by blocking any they found.  We will definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to replace and/or repair their roof.

"David Rios and crew replaced our roof. They were a hard-working and fast crew who got the job done in just one day. Our house had some older, broken solar panels on the roof from the early 70's, and they were able to remove them and repair the damage they had caused from the way they were set up. The roof had bad wind damage from storms and had to be replaced. Our roof vents were outdated, and they replaced them with a much better looking ridge vent. We have a fairly expensive skylight, and they were able to work with it with no problem. Other companies all said we would have to replace it with one they sold us. Roofing is dirty, hard work that creates a lot of trash, but when they left there wasn't a single piece of trash on the yard. They even swept it with a magnetic roller to pick up any nails or other metal bits they may have missed. David was on site all day with his crew, checking in and explaining things as they worked. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a roof."

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"

 This is a larger project than most I have done. My biggest concern was Ray, was so darn personable and knowledgeable. Usually to good to true is the counter indicator. He was way ahead of me on every step, from the initial review to completion. His crew did some absolutely beautiful stone work.

 On a project this this size there are always a few wrinkles, and that is where Ray Construction really came through. Calling back subcontractors on missed issues, and fixing things right!

"Bait and switch deal! I bought the $79.00 Angie's List deal and ended up paying an additional $1,273.00 for 2 gutters and downspouts and what they claimed to be more sealant than the deal offered. They were supposed to clean the eave, but after the service agent was late (again) he left without finishing. They had no problem charging my credit card for a finished job. The best I can say is the service agent was very nice."
