"Apex Plumbing employees, James and Zach, came to my house to repair a water leak that stopped all water service to my house. James came and cleared the lawn covering my pipes. Then Zach came, located the leak and replaced the water pipe serving my house. Unfortnately, The meter showed a continuing leak. James crawled under my house and found an unknown second leak. They eliminated that pipe leak under my house. I now have full water service to my house with no more leaks. Thank you Zach and James for a complete repair of known and unknown leaks. Good job!"

"Installers were very easy to work with. They worked hard installing a French drain and added some length at no additional cost. They also removed and took away old drains that weren't useful. I will hire this company again to install another drain."

"I experienced plumbing issues over the weekend and this company was the first to respond. The young lady that answered the phone ( Jo) was very pleasant and informative and that's when I knew I made the right choice to use this company for my plumbing needs. My appointment was originally scheduled for 4:00 PM but Jo advised me that she would do her best to have someone out sooner. Eddie arrived hours before my scheduled appointment which made me very happy. Eddie did a fantastic job with unclogging the drains in my home. Eddie was also informative and provided me with suggestions on how to avoid drain clogs in the future. If you are looking for a company that is responsive, on time, and cares about you as a customer, this is the company for you. Thank you so much, Jo, Eddie, and Trust Eb Plumbing for such a great experience. This company has already been hired for my next plumbing job."

"I had the leak inspection team out for $350 to detect where a leak could be. Then I had to pay $550 to dig down less than 2 feet to get to the pipe. Then $450 to repair the pipe. The technician Mike Ramirez did a good job and kept me informed along the way. It just seemed very expensive to spend $550 to dig a small hole."

"I hired this company to do some minor excavation in front of my built in dish washer so that it could pulled out and worked on by ECM to replace a drain hose. Antonio ( pretty sure that is his name) took it upon himself to find the cause of my water leak and lo and behold he found the leak to be inside a wall—the result of a broken pipe. He broke into the wall, found the leaking pipe and replaced it along with another nearby pipe that would have been leaking in the near future. My leak is eliminated and I am one happy camper. Great company, great employees and a great job very well done—Thank you very much"

"I needed to get rid of my nasty rotting shower. Trevor, Fred and their crew came and tore out my old tub and surrounding walls and installed a new plastic tub and walls! They did it in a day! I was shocked and prepared to be without my shower over night, but I was able to use it that night! Brand new shower! It feels almost like a new bathroom... I'm sure they can do the rest just as well! I'll be calling them back for a new toilet and vanity!"

"They actually ended up straightening the drain because the pipe was sagging. I have not had an issue since. There were additional fees for what they had done, but the fee was reasonable. The technicians were very polite and knowledgeable. Scheduling was not an issue."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.

The cost to unclog a drain varies based on the location and severity of the clog. For simple clogs within your home, such as in a sink, toilet, or shower, hiring a plumber typically costs between $110 and $350, with an average of around $200. Snaking a toilet or sink usually costs between $110 and $275, while a bathtub or shower clog costs about $225.

For a more serious clog in the main sewer line, the cost is higher. Clearing a main line clog generally costs between $200 and $600, with an average of about $380. However, prices can range from as low as $100 for snaking a minor clog to over $1,600, particularly if advanced methods like video inspection and hydrojetting are needed for a large or hard-to-reach blockage. Some severe main line clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear depending on factors like the cause of the clog, its distance from an accessible cleanout, and whether the pipe is located beneath an occupied space (e.g., in an apartment building). You may be able to save money on minor clogs by using a drain snake or bladder yourself.

Common drain issues include slow-running drains, whether in a sink or shower, clogged drains, a bad smell, and water backing up into a sink, shower, or bathtub. Causes range from hair, grease, roots, or toilet paper clogging the drainpipes to flooding outside the home, which prevents sewer lines from draining properly.

French drains may fail when they become clogged with soil granules that slip through the pores of the landscaping fabric and through the holes in the pipe.

Over time, this debris can build up inside the pipe and prevent water flow. To prevent this failure from happening, regularly flush out your French drain and keep debris away from the inlet grate.
