"We had a lot of damage from Hurricane Ian and Witty Innova did all the repairs except for the roof! Wonderful, talented group and outstanding communicators! I'm praying we never need that much work done again but would most definitely hire them!"

"Not only were the Shivers kind and knowledgeable, they were FAST! I needed work done on my roof to renew my insurance premium and was on a time crunch. My call was responded to immediately, Mr. Shiver came out the next day to inspect the project, gave me a great quote and had his team member come out two days later. I really appreciate the quality in service and work, will definitely be using them again next time I have a roof issue."

"Having had nightmarish situations with other contractors, Joey was a dream find in keeping an old (19th Century) Maine vacation farmhouse and the surrounding property in great shape. He always was prompt to the job, always performed efficiently, got the best deals for me on the materials, anticipated problems (which avoided greater expense later), was incredibly reasonably priced, and that the end of the project the work had been beautifully done. I know that Joey now is living in Florida, but he exemplified what I can only call the best of "old-style New England craftsmanship.""

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

For many people, a gazebo is worth it, but it’s a matter of personal preference. If you love spending time outside but your yard doesn’t offer much protection from the sun or rain, then adding a gazebo might be worthwhile. Or, if you enjoy hosting dinner parties and want a nice outdoor space to gather with your friends, a gazebo could be a good investment.

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.

Porticos last 25 to 60 years, depending on the material used. A portico’s roof typically matches the roof of the rest of the home and can be replaced simultaneously. Portico columns have a similar life span if properly maintained and regularly sealed. In some areas, harsh weather and extreme temperatures may cause a portico to wear more quickly.
