"Excellent service. On time. They never stopped working until the job was complete. They were professional, polite and very experienced. Watching them work together, in sync, was something to see. They made a very dangerous job look easy. They cleaned up the entire mess. We will use them again to keep our trees pruned."

"Ressler's Tree service is a premiere tree service company. Our property had over 30 years of old growth, trees ,bushes old hedges all removed and cleaned up in a mater of days. He has the equipment and manpower to handle the job in a timely manor. We Are not landscapers and have no idea what to plant or how to create a center piece. Kennedy came up with some great ideas with palm trees and bushes. We now have a show piece with minimal maintenance. This was a project that we were going to do over time but we found it much cheaper to do it all at once. What a great transformation. Customers say: Terrific value

"Overall it was a great experience. There were a couple of things that came up, but nothing too serious. They were very professional and did a great job trimming a large oak tree and cleaning up afterward. Would definitely use them again."

"Excellent customer service. Always called back or texted back if we had any questions. One or two delays mostly due to weather and the storm. They were all very good clean friendly and knew what they were doing . We fed them a nice lunch on their first day and was very appreciative of it. Will be using this company again for further tree removal at little later date."

Customers say: Quality work

"Mr. Camargo quoted me a great price and showed up when he said he would. They removed the tree without damaging the house and would not accept payment until the job was completed and the debris hauled away. I will call Camargo Tree Service next time I need a tree removed or trimmed."

Small jobs welcome

"Mrs. Kathy is awesome to work with scheduling and walking through the entire project including invoicing/payment process. Mr. George did our land grading and removed a big tree from our premises. I would fully recommend Brown's Land Restoration and we will use them for future projects!"

"Very professional and did more than was asked of them for the price that was quoted. They followed up with a phone to tell us about some trees to keep an eye on in the future. Blessings Robbie Maintenance manager"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

There are several methods to hollow out a tree stump, and the best one depends on your tools, experience, and priorities. Common methods include using a chisel and hammer, a chainsaw, or burning.

  • Chisel and Hammer: This is often considered the easiest approach for those with limited tools or experience, though it is the most time-consuming.

  • Chainsaw: Using a chainsaw is the fastest method, but it comes with significant safety risks, especially for inexperienced users.

  • Burning: This can be an effective method, but it is not recommended unless you can first drill holes into the stump. Without holes, the stump will be difficult to light and may not burn completely through.

A power drill with at least a ⅜-inch diameter bit can make the job quicker and easier, regardless of the primary method. While you can use a chisel or chainsaw without a drill, it will require more time and effort. Always wear protective goggles and thick gloves, as splinters are an inevitable risk.

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process. An important exception is if there are dangerous fungi nearby that the tree is particularly vulnerable to, like oaks and oak wilt. Sealing cuts can help prevent fungi from taking root.

There are a few instances in which removing a tree is the best option. You might do this if the tree looks to be a major danger—potentially falling onto your home, your car, or other parts of your property—or it’s diseased beyond repair. A tree that is growing too close to your house might need to be removed to prevent mold growth.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.

Pruning a tree is a yearly DIY job that involves removing small dead branches, leaves, and blooms to help the tree grow bigger and stronger. You can often complete the job with basic home gardening tools. Trimming a tree, however, removes larger sections to control the direction the tree grows in and protects your home, utility wires, and yard from potentially dangerous branches.
