"Our lawn had not been cut in several weeks, and I needed someone for a one-time job. They were able to come by on two days' notice and did a great job. If I ever need a weekly lawn care service, I'd call them first."

"Hi, Aaron is very professional, does a wonderful clean job, and explains what he’s doing. He also bet suggestions to make your lawn and flowerbed look spectacular! Aaron has worked on my yard in previous years, and my trying to save a couple of pennies. I allowed someone else to destroy my beautiful grass that he had growing! I am glad he is back!!!!!"

"Jose and his team are the best yard crew! They are consistent and quick. They have been my go to crew for everything yard related. Mowing, spring and fall clean up, trimming, weeding, and planting. Their prices are reasonable and their work is high quality. I recommend them every chance I get."

Small jobs welcome

"Responded quickly and gave a fair estimate for the work that was going to be completed and then we accepted the price and they came the same day completed all of the work that was promised. I then asked if he could do a couple extra items while he was there and he didn’t even hesitate to say yes, no problem., continued to knock out those things in record time and quality. I’m very impressed with Jose and his team and they far exceeded my expectations. There is no doubt that if they continue to do this level of commitment they will rise to the top level of their trade and most likely need to hire more crews. Keep up the great work guys and don’t forget us while you rise to new heights! Thank you! Look forward to seeing you soon for more projects."

"The landscapers spent most of one day at my property weeding, edging all beds, mulching, and trimming back a number of bushes and shrubs, and ground cover. Very good customer service by the owners and the work crew. Timely responses to emails and texts, and very accommodating to getting the job done to my satisfaction during the actual work. I would highly recommend Martin's Landscaping."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Like sugar, the common household staple baking soda has uses in the yard. Baking soda boosts your plants to resist pests, fungal growth, and more. So, baking soda is good for your plants in certain instances, but exercise caution, as using too much could kill your plants. It’s great for hunting for pesky weeds, but not great for tending to a sensitive garden.

There are organic herbicide options that will kill grass but not flowers, including white vinegar or a dish soap solution. Commercial selective herbicides can also target grass over other plants, but read the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your garden. Herbicides that kill grass but not flowers usually include ingredients like clethodim and sethoxydim. Otherwise, your best bet will be to weed by hand.

Very carefully. You should be cautious when using any of the above methods, as any one of them could lead to you accidentally killing desired grasses and plants. However, there are selective herbicides that can target certain plants over others. Look for a product that only affects the type of weeds you want to eliminate and spares the plants you want to keep.

Sealing pavers helps cut down on weed growth, but it won’t wipe it out entirely. What it does really well is harden the joint sand—especially if you’re using a sealant with polymer additives—so weeds have a much harder time breaking through. It also blocks airborne seeds from settling in the cracks and keeps debris from building up. This results in fewer weeds, easier maintenance, and a cleaner-looking surface. Just remember, sealing is a strong defense—not a one-and-done solution. Stay on top of sweeping, spot-treating, and resealing every few years to keep your weeds in check.

Too much clover in your lawn can indicate several issues with your soil. Clover can thrive in soils with abnormally high pH, low-cut grass, and low nitrogen. Amending these issues can push clover out for good.

Hardy perennial clover loves the low nitrogen and compact conditions that often come with poor, infertile soils. But other factors also contribute to a clover explosion, including drought conditions, cool temperatures, under fertilization, and over-irrigation. You’ll need to evaluate all these elements when planning to kill off the clover.
