"I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of my move. Although it was a short move, the two men doing it were great. They were professional, pleasant, efficient, polite, and a joy to deal with. They packed the truck took it to the storage unit and unpacked it in about two hours. They handled my belongings with care, not harming a thing. I would definitely recommend and use again."

"I just moved here 3 weeks ago.  Me and my 2 dogs.  Moved to Sandy Brae and there were a lot of "little" things to take care of.  Patsy, installed a storm door,  fixed my garage door from popping up, programmed another garage door remote, changed the fixture above my garage door as the one I inherited didn't work well.  He changed a light bulb.  Which you may think..can't you do that?  This was above a steep staircase with small stairs and it felt dangerous to me so he did it.  He also assembled a computer desk I bought.  There is a few more things that I can't remember now.  But what I like is that he took me to home depot and I paid for the materials at cost.  He basically just charged me for labor.  He was a lot of fun to deal with, seemed to know what he was doing, and I will use him again.

Moving questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you will need at least three able-bodied people to move a gun safe. Since gun safes are bulky and heavy, they can easily tip when you try to load them on the dolly and onto the truck or trailer. The more help you can get, the better! You should also consider hiring a team of professional movers to help with this heavy-duty move.

Just as moving a couch by yourself isn’t always a good idea, moving a heavy bed frame by yourself is not advisable. Doing so puts you at risk of injury, and you can damage the frame if you drop it or bang it while moving it. The best way to move a heavy bed frame is to enlist the help of friends or family or hire professional movers with the experience and equipment to move it safely and efficiently.

Cross-country moves are tricky and risky for your fish, so it’s often best to move the fish separately or rehome them. If you’re attached to your animals and determined to bring them, find a friend to house them and ship them to you once the new tank is ready. You can also contact your local fish store and ask if they offer temporary housing and shipping services until you get settled. If you’re moving to another country, it’s often best to sell the tank and fish, or find a good home locally.

Yes, you need insurance for a moving pod. Moving insurance is worth the cost because it can help pay to replace any damaged or destroyed items during the move. Without insurance, you’d be on the hook to pay for those replacements entirely out of pocket.

To treat office moving costs as capital expenses, which means recording them as assets, they must meet certain rules: they need to be essential for the business to keep running, directly related to the move, reasonable, and documented properly with invoices and contracts. These costs can include packing, transportation, and setting up the new office. Once these expenses are capitalized, they're treated like assets on the books and gradually accounted for over time through depreciation or amortization.
