Customers say: True professional

"Ken Showed and did a great job. However, I was disappointed because he could not even give me a verbal estimate for the job. When he was finished and billed me I was very surprised by the charge. I had 2other estimate so based on those he was on the very high side. The reason I did not go with the previous experts was because they were very busy and we could not wait two months. Ken showed up and did the job in a timely manner, was very very nice. I would Encourage at least a verbal estimate."

"Max was on time, professional, and very dedicated to getting the job done. He went above and beyond to paint our four rooms and our hallway - ceilings, trim, and walls. He fixed all of the drywall imperfections, moved all of the furniture, covered all of the area that was being painted and did an excellent job! He finished in two and 1/2 days. It looks to us like we have a new house. He also did an excellent job powerwashing our metal roof and gutters! We will definitely hire him again!"

"Five-star service! I was worried about the mess and the complexity of mounting onto my drywall, but they made it look easy. They were incredibly efficient, brought all their own tools/hardware, and even cleaned up the dust afterward. The TV looks amazing and feels extremely secure. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a professional finish without the DIY headache."

"Q and his wife Alicia are an excellent team. His work is impeccable. He installed a microwave over my oven, a motion light to replace an old one in my shed, which was sparking, and. Enclosed off an old electrical switch and covered in plastered it perfectly. He also threw in plastering one crack in the wall. The work was excellent, they keep a vacuum handy and keep the workspace, very clean, and we’re very quick. I would recommend them anytime."

"Brent and his crew are extremely professional in every aspect! Communication was very consistent and thorough. Efficiently got the job done but very precise and took the time to ask questions to confirm aesthetically this is what we were looking for. Their workmanship was top notch. Also a product arrived damaged from the manufacturer and Brent took care of it and exchanged it immediately. Very clean with debris and conscientious about noise and parking in our neighborhood. Will absolutely hire them again."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Whether you need drywall anchors depends on your specific project, particularly where you are hanging an item. Drywall anchors are not necessary if you can drive a screw directly into a wooden stud behind the wall, as the stud provides sufficient support. However, since studs are not present everywhere in a wall, you will need to use drywall anchors if you are hanging an object in a location without a stud. For very lightweight items, picture hanging strips can also be a suitable alternative.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

Popular wall textures include orange peel, knockdown, spray sand, and smooth finishes. Orange peel and knockdown are particularly common choices for drywall as they are simple and cost-effective. Orange peel texture has a lightly bumpy surface resembling the skin of an orange, while knockdown (sometimes called knockout) looks like a stucco finish with flattened high spots. In contrast, popcorn texture has fallen out of fashion, partly due to its past association with asbestos and a shift toward more restrained interior design styles.

You’ll want to inspect your plaster walls for signs of damage before painting. If you notice soft spots, deep cracks, bubbling, or areas where the plaster is crumbling or pulling away from the wall, it likely needs repair. While small hairline cracks are common and likely cosmetic, you should address larger issues before painting to ensure a quality, smooth finish.

When doing a DIY paint job, it can be tricky to achieve the perfect, straight line between your wall and ceiling. There are several methods, including lining it with painter’s tape and using the “cut in” brush tactic. Some homeowners choose to apply a thin line of caulk to the wall-ceiling seam to create the appearance of a perfect line.
