"Jon Davis offered very competitive pricing including premium irrigation installation (i.e, 1-inch PVC main line installed at 18-inch depth, as well as the equipment (i.e., Hunter Pro-C controller and Hunter heads/nozzles including latest technology such as Hunter's "Soil-Clik" soil moisture system. Jon was very knowledgeable about the irrigation system and design ensuring our entire lawn was fully covered and properly zoned so the water pressure and coverage was optimal. He even added a separate zone to fill our garden/fish pond. Jon was personally on-site almost daily overseeing his team of installers until the job was completed. He is very honest and delivers what he promises. Jon's success is apparent as his team has a very full workload and high demand of requests so anticipate adequate lead time for your project. We would definitely use Emerald Lawn & Landscaping again for future projects."

"I called Ares Construction after 2 other Appliance Repair companies fell through. Justin called me the same day and tried his best to make it out the same day to repair my refrigerator. He communicated through out the day to let me know of his schedule. He could not come the same day but he was out the next morning. He showed up on time, called prior to his arrival, and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem with my refrigerator. Its hard to find reliable contractors in this area. Now that I have found one I will send as much work as I can to him. Thank you Justin for all your help."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

The cost for professional holiday light installation averages around $430, with a typical range of $220 to $675. However, prices can be as low as $100 for simple projector setups or exceed $1,200 for extensive displays. The total cost depends on factors like the display's complexity, your home's size, labor rates in your area, and the type of lights used. For example, installation on a small, one-story home may cost $250 to $600, while a multi-story home over 4,000 square feet could cost $500 to $1,800. Costs can also be broken down by location (e.g., high roofs at $3.50–$6 per linear foot) or by the type of light strand, with prices ranging from $4 for basic incandescent strands to over $60 for color-changing LED strands.

Yes, if your roof is in stable condition, you should be able to hang Christmas lights from the eaves. Hang Christmas light directly from the eaves for best results, using light clips or an alternative type of adhesive. When installing lights on your eaves, be sure to work carefully and avoid adding too much weight or pressure to them.

Christmas trees need about 100 lights per foot, so you would need 700 lights for a 7-foot tree.

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.

You can choose to hang Christmas lights on either gutters or shingles—either option is fine. If you have gutter covers, shingles may be your only option. But, all-in-one clips are designed for both applications.
