"I have a lot of good things to say about the Deck Guardian team, which includes Ion (manager), Raul (project manager) and Jairo, the construction lead for the crew that tore down our rotting deck and built an all-weather room and accompanying deck made with Trex materials. - I obtained four bids and estimates for the project and Deck Guardian (DG) was by far the most thorough, professional and impressive. Ion has a great eye and helped point out some possibilities for the new room/deck that we hadn’t considered. - One other bid was a bad sales pitch, another would have required that we separately hire an electrician and someone to do the flooring; DG handled all of the project management and subcontracting. I didn’t have to do anything after hiring them. Price was fair, comparable to the other bids (except the one that wanted to do the job without a permit). - The estimate/quote/bid spelled out every aspect of the materials and labor. It was easy to read and the final cost matched the estimate exactly. - The DG team obtained the permits so I didn’t have to deal with the town (Randolph), and they handled the various inspections. Raul and Jairo were punctual when they first arrived and communicated well about odds and ends throughout. Jairo’s team is hard-working, fast, friendly, efficient, respectful, and they cleaned up supplies and debris after each day. Not every crew will do that. - Raul checked in throughout with notice when to expect inspectors, came out to monitor progress, and Ion checked in too. The team finished a pretty complex project in only about 12 working days. It was pretty darn impressive. Everyone involved was meticulous and clearly had pride in the work; they weren’t just doing the job and checking out. - The final product is awesome, even better than we had envisioned. Our neighbor liked what they saw and called for an estimate for his deck in the front. My wife and I are extremely happy we chose Deck Guardian and we’ll call them back if we ever undertake any home construction project again. - Highly recommended that you consider DG if you’re in the market for a deck, resurfacing, gazebos, etc."
