You'll be confident choosing Marshall Mowing & Landscaping LLC as your professional landscaping contractor. Reliable service, competitive rates, and over a decade of experience is what makes us the right choice to build and maintain your outdoor living space.

"My experience with Marshall Mowing was a mixture of good and bad, but bad on balance. The mowing was regularly done and done well except for one shortcoming. The mowing was so rough with their equipment that the turf was frequently pushed aside leaving numerous bare spots. When I complained, Joel assured me it would stop and that they would reseed. The reseeding job was so poor, though, that I had to redo it myself. After that, for a while, the mowing was more carefully done – until the Fall clean-up when the rough stuff returned. The Fall clean-up was very disappointing. They got up most of the leaves but left way too many. I called a week and a half before the first snow and was assured they would be out the following week. (I had in mind doing some blowing myself if necessary.) Needless to say, they didn't show up."

Odd Jobbers CT is an LLC formed by long-time friends Eric and Jay. We both have extensive experience in landscaping, lawn care, and general repair work. A major reason for our deciding to work together is the passion we share for superior, honest, hard work. Ask us if we "...really make those straight lines when mowing every lawn?" and you'll see us beam with pride. "Absolutely!" Rototilling questions, answered by experts

Yes, rototilling has many benefits. Rototilling is a great way to aerate the soil in your garden, introduce fertilizer, and remove weeds from your soil to prep it for planting, so it is very often a worthwhile expense. You can get by without rototilling if you’re willing to use manual tools, but the work will take much longer and is very labor-intensive. If you’re looking to prepare your garden for planting or your soil for new grass growth, rototilling is relatively inexpensive and almost always worth the money.

You should exercise care when deciding how to landscape over a leach field for your septic system. You typically want lightweight materials that won’t damage the drain field’s perforated pipes. When adding plants to the area, select plants with shallow roots, such as grass or flower gardens. Trees with deep roots could damage the pipes in the field.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

Periodic checks for erosion and proper drainage function ensure lasting results.

The largest issue with xeriscaping is the up front cost and the amount of work required to amend your old lawn. Xeriscaping costs $3,000 to $24,000 on average, but the long-term payoff, both financially and environmentally, includes saving water, time, and money on lawn maintenance.
