Last fall the leaves were not completely removed before the first snowfall, and ice froze the leaves to the ground. The men left some transplanted Hasta incompletely dug in, with root masses exposed above ground. Worse, a little evergreen that had prospered in the front yard was moved to the back and stuck in a hole four inches deep without any root mass, and so of course it died immediately.
After this spring's cleanup, I filled four large lawn-and-leaf bags. Dignoti's men mulched the flowerbed that was to be weeded after first mowing the weeds and hoeing them lightly in some places but not others. Some patches of weeds remained undisturbed; in other places, weeds immediately came up again through the mulch. The garden edging was never straightened, although this task was specified before work started.
In the last few weeks I have repeatedly been given new dates for completion of the work that come and go without results. When I call to inquire, I'm told that the job will be finished today--and then several days more pass without its completion. I now expect to do the work myself--but that is not what I paid for. Buyer beware.
"Well I don't really know where to start with my response but I was not even active with Angie's list back in 2014. I have work for [Member Name Removed] for a few years before these incidents happened in 2014. And some of what she has is very true, What she neglects to say Is some of the work that that was done she paid my employees to do without me knowing, and then asked me to come back and repair some of the things that were in correct. The initial agreement was to mulch her flowerbeds. That work was completed. As far as the fall cleanup is concerned 2014 was the year of the October ice storm here in Connecticut which did not allow us to finish. If you look at what she paid my company and the scope of the work she is complaining about it is quite obvious that she expected a lot more work done then she paid for. Not only did I lose a client but I also had to release two of my employees for agreeing to do work behind my back. If you are going to leave a negative feedback, at least be truthful."
I would refer him to everybody, no questions asked!
