"Todd , the owner of at “First Servive LLC”was a 5 star PLUMMER !! When I called him he gave me a quote over the phone when I explained the problem and came out to our home the next day. Our hot water heater was leaking onto the floor and water was only getting warm. He found the problem fast and installed new elements / thermostats in the upper / lower panels on our 50 gallon tank .He checked our whole system and tested it. Todd cleaned up the whole area when done and we talked after in our kitchen for about half hour. He was fast, pleasant , clean , and very reasonably priced!!! I would highly recommend “First Service, LLC. Plumming , for your plumming needs! I now have a great PLUMMER, with only a phone call away!! 5-STAR."

"I requested a quote around 7:30 pm on a Friday night and within 5 minutes I recieved a phone call. We were pretty desperate by then having gone a whole week without a working toilet because we had to wait for a paycheck to come in before we could hire someone. I asked him when he thought he could do the job and he said he could be at our house within the hour. We were shocked! Sure enough, he arrived a little after 8:30 and after assessing the situation have us a very reasonable quote and got right to work. It turned out to be a lot more work than we thought it would be but he persevered and got the job done after about two and a half hours of heavy labor. He then proceeded to completely clean the entire floor before leaving. I highly recommend him and have his number on speed dial in case we ever have a need for plumbing in the future"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re not using a septic system, problems with your home’s plumbing won’t cause this—it’s a city problem. A large blockage in the municipal sewage lines may cause those lines to back up into your home. This is extremely unpleasant and can be a serious health risk due to bacteria and other contaminants. If this occurs, call a pro (or your city) immediately.

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.

If your dishwasher keeps filling with water at the bottom but doesn’t fill into the sink, the issue is likely due to a blockage within the dishwasher or drain. Regularly clean your dishwasher filter basket to ensure it’s not clogged with food, and run a vinegar rinse periodically if you have hard water to remove limescale buildup.

Professionals use snakes, hydrojetting, or chemical cleaners to clear blockages effectively without damaging pipes.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.
