"Roofing its something no home owner ever wants to do, but most have to go through. I won't even lie I wasn't even planning on getting a new roof, but Dale Knocked on my door and thats where the process started. My roof did go through insurance & aside from signing paper work/paying my deductible A1 handled everything. Obviously specific details from the insurance goes to you and then given to A1. Its not a short process and there is paperwork you have to sign, but all In all it did take me about 4 to 5 months where the process was started to roof replacement. Dale handled interactions with showing my the conditions of my roof and how to go about getting it put through the insurance. The only hiccup was that I have solar panels and I did feel like they where taken down to early (almost 5 months off), but I made my concerns known and one of the Managers called me and credited me $500 bucks (100 per month) that the panels where off. They did tell me setbacks in productions and things happen, but made me happy by giving me this credit. Didn't fight me on it, and didn't make me feel like I was just an insurance check on the other end. You can trust A1 home improvement with your home. You can apply stucco to wood by wrapping it with grade D waterproof paper, installing trim accessories such as metal lath, control joints, weep screeds, casing beads, and expansion joints, and applying the stucco in three layers. You’ll need a scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat, all applied with a trowel and screeded with a darby or straight edge. Each should cure for two days before you apply the next one.

Installation typically takes 3-7 days, depending on the area size and drying time between layers.

Late fall is generally the best time of year for installing stucco siding. We don’t recommend hiring a stucco pro to apply this feature when the temperatures are below freezing, so it’s best to avoid applying stucco siding to your home during the winter. However, it’s safe to apply in hot and colder temperatures, so any other time of year is suitable. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for stucco siding professionals, so you could save money by doing the work in the off-season: the late fall.

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. Stucco can also absorb water, making it an unsuitable option for siding in areas that see excessive rainfall. Finally, stucco can crack and chip, especially in extreme weather, and repairs are not only challenging and require help from a professional who does stucco, but can get expensive.

Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.
