"I met with Gary, from Goodfellows, about a month ago and genuinely had such a good feeling about him and his company that I hired him without comparison shopping. I did use my resources to evaluate the type and quality of the windows and they sell and was happy that they were made in America from a company that has an excellent reputation for high quality windows. Their efficiency ratings are better than all the top name brands, too! I chose to have 3 replacements windows changed from double hung to awning windows so I can leave them open when it rains. I also had them cut out openings for two brand new windows, since the east side of my house was built without a single opening on that side of my house, which made made air flow terrible! However, I saved the best for last!!! I had the Goodfellows crew remove a three in a row series of double hung windows and replace the old duds with a four pane Bow window. Gary told me that it would look great with a handcrafted top piece that one of his guys could make on site and custom for this window. It is a work of art and Orlando has a gift. The asphalt caps most bow windows have around the neighborhood pale in comparison and I am so grateful to have taken Garyâ s advice. My new windows make my house look great, but also remind me I have work to do to clean up the rest!!! But the bow window was worth every penny! It is stunning. Iâ d highly recommend considering hiring this company; they are exceptional. Gary is a man of his word and kept me updated during the extended wait due to the shuttering of some of the companies due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I knew they were doing the best that they could under the circumstances and the wait was 100 percent worth it! Iâ ll be contacting them again for a roof and if I need any other such work! Their prices, I learned after the fact, were the significantly below their competitors."

"In the middle of a bathroom remodel, I realized I couldn’t use the store bought bathtub glass door I had. My bathtub was cast iron and had a beveled edge. I contacted Guncay to make me a custom bathtub glass door. He promptly came over to give me an estimate and went over different options with me and their prices. Everything was done quickly and with great attention to detail. Beautiful work. Would hire him again in a heartbeat."

"Everything from first contact with the office staff to set up the appointment to when the installers left was a completely positive experience!
Office schedulers found us an evening appointment around our work schedules and were very friendly.
Al Vestro, our salesman, contacted us prior to arrival, and even showed up early once checking if we were available. He carefully went over the options, and didn't try to "upsell" at all. He explained that a higher sun-filtering glass was available, but generally not needed in New England. Also mentioned the option of "divided lites" to go on the outside of the window to retain the original look of the sash bars, and advised if we had a historic home it would be required but since we had just a "normal" home, it would mean more difficult cleaning without a lot of real difference in look. I appreciated his honesty in showing the options without the hype to sell the more expensive options. He recommended the best option for our home and neighborhood. Also, there was no pressure to sign the contract right then and there. He provided the estimate at the time of the inspection and then left it up to us to decide and get back to them if we wanted to proceed. He also explained the financing options with their financing company and we opted for the one year same as cash option so we didn't have to write a check for the deposit. Much easier option! Al estimated 8-10 weeks between when we signed the contract and when the windows would be installed. This put us at about a week or so after Thanksgiving. Not ideal, but we wanted them in for the winter.
Once we signed the contract, David DiGiorgi called and set up the appointment to measure the windows. My husband was home that day, and said he was very punctual, friendly and professional.
David called earlier this week and said the windows were ready and set up a day for the installation - which was today. Nov. 6th, at least three weeks earlier than expected! it couldn't have worked out better, considering we are having a warm spell with temps in the 70's today (New England, early November - go figure!)
We were told the installers would be at the house at 8:30. The first truck arrived at 8:20 and all the installers were on site by 8:30. We took care to move things away from the windows before they arrived so they could get right to work. I did not take things off the walls because we were told we would not have to. But they had to do some heavy deconstruction work to get the old windows out and the guys took the collectible plates off the dining room walls so they wouldn't fall and break. I so appreciated that care and thoughfulness.
They started the actual work around 8:45 and were done installing all 9 windows by 1:00. They cleaned up everything, and other than a little dirt on the kitchen counter, and of course the new windows, you would not have known we had any work done. It was spotless - cleaner even than it was when they arrived!
While it is very early to really judge if they are sealed well, we carefully looked at all the windows and can see no gaps in the seals.
I am more than satisfied with the whole experience with DiGiorgi. They may not be the cheapest contractor out there, but I found their customer service and workmanship to be top notch. I will definitely use them again when it comes time to replace the other 9 windows and the roof. And I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking for quality products and workmanship, and professional, easy to deal with people for their next home improvement project.

"This was the third time we used Therno Seal and again we could not be happier. The two prior times were to replace the windows in the house. The windows are awesome and Aaron will work within your budget. This business is family owned so there aren’t tons of calls and a pressure presentations to buy the top of the line product. Well this time we needed a new roof. I amazed how good this roof looks. It turned out that we needed teardown of the whole roof but that was ok because everything was laid out before hand of what can happen. .Aaron explains everything up front and is always available if you have any questions. When it came to work on the roof the head guy was Bob. He doesn’t just drop off a crew and leave. He stayed the entire time making sure the job was done the right way. The job was done in two days. You can tell Aaron and Bob take great pride in there products. If you want quality and good service give them a call. Working with them is like working with friends. Thanks again guys!! "Mike Goodman and his team did a great job building an overhang for the front door. I had given him a picture of what I wanted. It was not exactly like the picture, but in all fairness, he said he would get as close as possible. It still turned out very nice. In addition, Mike added three railings to deck stairs. The project took five days, which is what he projected. He was sensitive to my need for details and we kept in constant contact through out the project. I live in Maryland and the project was in Connecticut."

"The crews were very professional and they worked to get all of our problems resolved. We love the results from our new windows and siding."
Metal is one of the best types of hurricane shutters because they are the most durable and longest lasting option. This shutter type will likely cost more than other materials like plywood, but metal hurricane shutters are a permanent solution compared to the temporary nature of putting plywood over your windows during a hurricane. You should also consider hurricane panels and automatic roll-down shutters that are useful for emergency situations.
In most cases, custom window treatments are well worth the investment. Custom window treatments not only elevate your curb appeal and make your home more visually pleasing inside, but they also often do a better job of boosting your home’s energy efficiency than non-custom treatments, and they usually last longer. Plus, specialty window treatments can increase your home value if maintained well, so your investment is more worthwhile in the long run in most cases, too.
Hurricane shutters cost about $3,700 on average, ranging from $1,500 to 5,900, depending on the style, size, materials, and your location. Materials may include metal, plastic, fabric, or wood.
Additional cost factors to consider include the number of windows, the time of year you install, and necessary permits. Keep in mind that if you purchase and install hurricane shutters during hurricane season, namely June through November in most states, you can expect to pay more due to increased demand.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
Custom window treatments cost around $900 per window, and prices usually fall between $150 and $4,800. Your total will depend on many factors, including the type of window treatment, the amount and size of the windows, your home’s location, and the labor cost. Blinds and shutters tend to be the most affordable custom window treatments at $600 to $2,700, and the most expensive options are valances, drapes, curtains, and estate shutters, costing up to $3,000.
