"Very well!! Brian did a great job installing 4 custom blinds in my home. Brian measured the rest of our widows and offered sound advice on how to accurately order blinds for them. I highly recommend Brian for his handyman services."

"Jack arrived with a smile! He asked what needed to be done, I explained that the homeowner was looking for a quote only and proceeded to show him the bathroom sink/pipe issue. He took a look and all of a sudden the pipe was off and he was asking for another sink. He cleaned the pipe, replaced it and said "don't worry about it, this was my good deed of the day! My client the homeowner (who is non-verbal) and I were surprised and touched by his kindness!!!! Jack's ENERGY is the BEST!!!! You can definitely tell he DOES NOT do this for the money, we will definitely be using his services again."

"Great service and Mark was professional at his work and explaining the problem. It wasn't the fan in the master bedroom that went bad, and he suspected the circuit GFI was tripped. We spent a little time to look for the failed GFI and was able to locate it in an odd place. The diagnostic price was a little expensive though."

"Tom did an excellent job. We wanted a chandelier lift installed in our foyer that has an 18 foot ceiling. He explained in detail what he would do and answered all questions. He was on time for the installation and finished on schedule. He was meticulousl in the workspace. We are very happy with the result and plan to use Tom again for another project."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Depending on the thickness of the carpet, it can take anywhere from 4 to 12 hours for carpet to dry with a fan. The humidity and temperature of the room also play a role in drying time, as added moisture in the air can result in longer drying time.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.
