"Justin and his team were wonderful to work with! Justin was very communicative and helped my husband and I plan and orchestrate our brand new driveway. They also helped with taking out some of the larger pieces of concrete in our yard as we could not move them ourselves. We highly recommend them for their services! Thank you Justin & team!"

Customers say: Quick response

"I wanted a concrete sidewalk, and I ended up with a beautiful walkway from the driveway and road. The crew was very polite, hard working, clean and punctual. The whole project was completed on time and is wonderful. I really cannot say enough, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them. They did exactly what I wanted to have done. I love my sidewalk. People are driving by and looking and commenting on it all day."

"Hiring E B Asphalt was the best decision we ever made. We have a very long driveway that was in tough shape. Rick came over to look at the job, answered all of the questions we had, and made several suggestions on how the job should be done. His knowledge and experience was quite evident. Feeling comfortable, we contracted with Rick to do the driveway. Within a week, Rick and his crew were at our house removing the old driveway, removing stone that would affect the new driveway, adding base gravel, rolling it multiple times, and preparing the landscape around the new driveway so that water run off would not damage the new driveway. By the next week (even with a few days delay due to rain), our brand new driveway was laid, and we could not be more than happy with how it looks. During the process, Rick was more than responsive to our questions. Even after the work was completed, Rick called to make sure we were happy with the outcome. I would recommend EB Asphalt wholeheartedly!"

"Big job removing part of the driveway and building a new front porch for my home. Crew accomplished the whole job in just two days. Cleaned up after themselves. Took care to match colors with our existing deck. Couldn’t be happier."

"Where do I begin... I needed a long retaining wall replaced because it was leaning towards my neighbor's property. Derek (and his team) were fabulous right from the beginning. Derek came out, asked what I needed to be done, took measurements, explained what the job entailed and he would send me a quote. He also was gracious enough to speak with my neighbor (because the wall replacement process would temporarily take up part of his driveway). The quote price was VERY FAIR! Anyway, the team got to work, removed the old crumbling wall, hauled away the debris, left everything clean and came back the next day for installation. It took 4 days from beginning to end. There were a couple of things (railings) on backorder and will be in soon. I am spreading the good word about Northern Grey Masonry and I would hire them again in a heartbeat! It is a job well done. Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

If your epoxy application ended up a bit messy and left spills behind, there are several ways to clean epoxy off of a concrete floor. You can use a power washer with at least 3,000 PSI. However, it may be easier to use a scraping tool or an acidic cleaner, like vinegar, to remove unwanted epoxy.

If the entire floor has epoxy and you want to remove just excess epoxy stains, these methods could still strip parts of the epoxy floor. Move carefully and in small areas to minimize damage, or call a pro for an expert finish.

One of the most important factors to consider when buying a pressure washer is not just psi but also the machine’s overall cleaning power. This is based on both the psi and the GPM. Look for a cleaning rating, or effective cleaning unit (ECU), of up to 8,000 for most residential cleaning projects that require a pressure washer.

You can clean light stains off of concrete using a pressure washer with 2,000 psi, or you can clean tougher stains if you use a smaller nozzle and point the wand closer to the stain. You may also need to go over the surface more than once for a deeper clean. If you want to clean concrete faster, consider using a pressure washer with a psi of 3,000 or higher.

The time it takes to pressure wash your driveway is mainly based on size (but your driveway’s material and condition also play a role). Small driveways can be pressure washed within an hour, medium within two hours, and large within four hours. However, this does not consider any prep time or time that sealing your driveway would take.

The ideal PSI (pounds per square inch) for a pressure washer depends on the surface you are cleaning. For general home use, a pressure washer with a range of 2,000 to 3,000 PSI is recommended and powerful enough for most residential projects.

The specific PSI you should use varies by task:

  • High-Pressure Tasks (2,500-3,000 PSI): Tough materials like concrete, stone, masonry, and brick can handle higher pressures. This is suitable for removing stubborn stains from driveways or cleaning graffiti.

  • Low-Pressure Tasks (around 600-1,300 PSI): Softer surfaces require a gentler touch to avoid damage. Use a low PSI setting for cleaning wood decks (especially softwoods like pine and cedar), vinyl siding, outdoor furniture, and stucco.

For best results, choose the right nozzle for your surface, such as a 15-degree nozzle for siding or a surface cleaner attachment for driveways. Using an extendable wand can also make the work easier and more ergonomic.
