"The work that Nixon and his crew did in My momâ s hom was done efficiently and with great care for my motherâ s house. I found him to be responsive, creative, and the work was very reasonably priced. I would recommend him for both small and large projects."

"I had the pleasure of working with Casali on the construction of my new home, and I couldnt be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, their team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attention to detail, and a true commitment to quality craftsmanship. The entire process was seamless, thanks to their clear communication and responsiveness. They kept me informed every step of the way and were always willing to address any questions or concerns I had. Their expertise and dedication were evident in every aspect of the project, from the foundation to the final finishes. The finished product is beyond what I had envisioned?my new home is beautiful, functional, and built to the highest standards. I especially appreciated how Casali went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed on time and within budget. I would highly recommend Casali!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Juliano was very responsive and receptive of ideas I had for the project. The work done turned out the way I wanted and was able to do it within my price range. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the cleanup afterwards. There was more saw dust leftover than I anticipated. Regardless, I would recommend and would hire again for further projects."

"The work was done in a timely manner, and as I was told we needed to wait to paint the stairs, and that was the last item, i paid in full. It has now been over a year and i keep requesting that they come out and complete the work, and i receive no response. Disappointed."

Garages questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to insulate a garage involves choosing cost-effective materials like fiberglass, which comes in batts or rolls and is relatively easy to install. You can often install this type of insulation without needing to add drywall, which helps reduce costs. While a DIY approach might seem cheapest, hiring a professional installer can be highly cost-effective. Experts can accurately determine your garage's specific insulation needs and ensure the best results for your investment, often using batt insulation for the bulk of the project.

The best way to prevent your garage door from freezing is to install a permanent source of heat in the garage. You can have a professional tie in your main heating system or install a ductless mini split as a standalone heating solution. You can also insulate the garage to prevent temperatures from dropping to the point that the door freezes shut.

Indoor propane heaters are safe to use in a garage. You may be able to use an outdoor propane heater inside a garage in some instances, as long as the garage door remains open and there’s constant airflow to allow the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to escape. Other garage heaters include electric heaters and gas heaters.

The lifespan of a hurricane garage door depends on several factors, such as the quality of the materials, how well it's maintained, and the local weather conditions. As a rule of thumb, most hurricane garage doors can last anywhere from 15 to 30 years or more with proper care. However, if you start to see visible damage, the garage door becomes noisier, or you experience difficulty operating it, it may be time for a replacement.

In some cases, a detached garage can be considered extra living space, but you will need to gain permission and comply with your local building code. Depending on where you live, you may need permits for a variety of installations, including electrical work, plumbing, and structural work. Many homeowners make the mistake of converting a garage into a living space without acquiring permits, which can result in hefty fines and even the removal of your hard work. Furthermore, a detached garage doesn’t add to the livable square footage of your home when it’s time to sell.
