"Larry is a 1st rate guy. He not only fixed my dishwasher in a jiff...he also fixed a longstanding problem with my garbage disposal that woulda cost me at least $200. He just charged me $50! Plus he's super-nice and sure knows what he's doing. A really nice fellow, for sure!"

"Easy process from quote to work complete. The crew worked on a few small projects -- fixed a damaged wall, repaired flooring, and installed a new toilet."

"We discovered at the last minute that our new dishwasher needed different under-sink and supply connections. So we searched Angie's list, called TC's after closing, and got a prompt response from Tony. He worked with us to do the job before the installer arrrived, which was a challenge because of the ambiguity of the installer's time window. In any case, Tony and Mike were great and completed their work with hours to spare! We were very pleased by everything they did, grateful for finding them, and will recommend TC's without reservation."

"re-piped sink that has been a problem for ages. also installed new garbage disposal. was tiny drip afternoon of installation, but came back promptly next day and fixed with no grumbling. Am relieved to finally have a kitchen sink that doesn't leak and spew content of garbage disposal in cabinet. This is the 4th plumber we have had to fix it...and this was the first company that actually addressed the underlying problem (bad configuration of original pipes, and narrow pipes cut too short.) I am glad I took the leap and hired from this site."

"The company texted me with a picture of the repairman, gave me a window of 2 hours, he arrived put on disposable boots and a mask and said the repair would be $650. Gave us his opinion on what brand to buy. Overall, an excellent service"

"Install went smoothly. The installers were very good and always concerned about the owners making sure the work was to their satisfaction. I recommend this company"

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
