"Jessie was a true professional. He arrived on time, got us our quote within the day. Followed up to see if we had questions in a timely manner. Jessie had all his samples with him and a catalog to pick our sinks from. No pressure to sign a contract ever. He was understanding we needed time to decide. Treated my wife with respect (other sales people directed questions to me and not her, they made her feel invisible). Jessie’s prices were fair and reasonable, so we decided to go with him. The installation took a day and everything was as promised. He was careful and respectful of our space and time. Thank you Jessie for the excellent job and the beautiful countertops. He also made us two cutting boards at no extra charge."

"Zink's Carpet Care was the only firm that could clean all three types of flooring: carpet, tile, wood.

Estimate: Ryan was on time, quickly walked the home and provided me a detailed estimate for carpeted, tiled and wood floor areas for cleaning.  There was a significant discount for 1st time Angie's List customers.

Work Day 1: Ryan and his team (two other folks) arrived on time and quickly set to work.  All carpeted and tiled areas were cleaned in approximately 6 hours.  Oriental rug was also cleaned.  Well oiled team was thorough with attention to detail.  Results were spectacular.

Work Day 2: Same team arrived on time and immediately began cleaning wood floors.  All wood floor areas were cleaned in approximately 3 hours. Same thoroughness and attention to detail as previous day.  Results also awesome for wood floors.

Overall:  Ryan and his team were professional, very respectful of all furnishings and responded immediately to all requests and questions.  It is rare to find the total package of professionalism, excellent results, and best price but Zink's Carpet Care delivers.

Recommendation: Highly recommend Zink's Carpet Care for carpeted, tiled and wood floors.  I will be using them for all of my properties in the future.

"These men did an amazing job! James and his crew, Kyle, Aaron and Wuinder remodeled my stairs, installed new flooring in my kitchen, repaired and textured my drywall and painted. The job was finished on time and within budget, no surprises. They were respectful of my home and were neat and tidy. I have already rehired them to do more work. I highly recommend James and Crew!"

"Advantage was on time, professional, and very respectful of our belongings. They cleaned our house as if it was there own, definite perfectionists. Their knowledge of floor maintenance was impressive. The price was very favorable compared to tearing out the grout and tile, which we strongly considered."

Repair Countertops questions, answered by experts

Before making any big plans, climb up a step ladder and closely examine the top of your cabinets. You’ll get to see what sort of clean-up work needs to be done, but you can also check for any unexpected obstacles. Sometimes this space holds electrical boxes, wiring, or even plumbing components. Those will affect plans to install a new layer of cabinets or shelves.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.

Porcelain is a relatively affordable, mid-range countertop material. It typically costs between $50 to $70 per square foot.

Compared to quartz, porcelain is slightly more affordable, as quartz generally ranges from $50 to $200 per square foot. However, lower-quality, builder's grade quartz can be similar in price to porcelain.

Compared to granite, the price can be similar, depending on the quality of the stone. While granite slabs can range from $50 to $200 per square foot, you can find lower-end granite in the same price range as porcelain. High-end granites will cost significantly more.

Porcelain is generally more expensive than laminate, acrylic, and ceramic, but less expensive than high-end slate, concrete, and marble. A key benefit is that porcelain does not require sealing, which reduces long-term maintenance costs.

Sealed concrete countertops stand up well to everyday kitchen mishaps, including spills and burns. However, to prevent burn marks from forming, it’s best to use a hot pad or trivet under pans rather than placing them directly on the countertop. Learn the pros and cons of concrete countertops to decide if this material is right for your kitchen.

Yes, you can use paint if you want to refresh your tile countertops. However, you must be mindful of the type of paint you use. Look for options explicitly created for tile that are also waterproof and durable. Over time, the paint will chip, so this is not considered a long-term solution for busy kitchens.
