"Evan was great to work with. He was on time and professional and completed a “doggie deck” for my aging dogs to continue to use the dog door and take pressure off their back legs. It makes a huge difference for our family and I thank him for the great work."

"Because this was in the winter, they brought a concrete heater and prepared the area of the patio that needed to be mudjacked. They called us with plenty of notice as to when they would be there and arrived on time. They were polite and courteous and were able to raise our back patio up the 3 inches or so that it had dropped and did not make a mess. We appreciated the fact that they honored a quote they'd given us last year, even though it took us a while to be in a financial position to hire them."

"I’ve got to say that GMM Concrete executed a fantastic protect with my concrete job. They had to relocate concrete planters, remove the deteriorating concrete, level and fill the area, and deal with the surprising summer heat and altitude of working in Woodland Park. The fellows were hard working and dedicated to getting the job done in an efficient and timely manner. The result was a beautiful and functional product that exceeded my expectations. And the cost was amazingly reasonable. I recommend GMM Concrete LLC without reservations or exceptions. I do not think you will find a better or more affordable company than GMM Concrete LLC. And their team of employees is competent, dedicated, efficient and friendly. You can’t go wrong with GMM Concrete!"

"David was immediate with response time and showed up right away for a quote. I had a short window for him to do everything due to the main entrance to our Air B&B rental. He ripped all the grass and existing basketball cement in one day and prepped it all for new cement. The next day he routed the downspout runoff all the way to the sidewalk which was a specific request and very important because my neighbor’s yard and basement floods because it’s lower than my house. They poured the cement prior to the snow and covered with the tarp. He also cut my new custom made mailbox post to proper height and installed in the new sidewalk cement. What specifically had us choose his business over anyone else was he offered to go pick up these red rocks and weed preventer sheets for the cost of gas, delivery and lay it down. That would have put a lot of extra labor on us and trashed my new truck. That was a HUGE bonus. He removed my swinging gate and cut the bottom to swing open. Once it was identified that the sprinkler system was not capped off properly, he personally came back and corrected it all. His special attention to detail and additional touches to the project makes me want to do business with him again."

"I hired El Toro Construction & Roofing to redo a previous stucco job that went terribly wrong. The guys did an amazing job! Their communication and attention to detail made for a smooth takeover. The crew worked hard, they were timely and cleaned up after each day. I would highly recommend them and look forward to doing business with them again in the future."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.
