"Rocco and the crew were great - very professional and friendly! They paid a lot of attention to the details, and even made some nice artistic suggestions. The work took 2 weeks; about half of that time was for prep. They did cleaned up the property at the end of each day, and also when they finished the job. The crew supervisor, Miguel, checked in regularly to make sure everything was going along to my satisfaction."

"Justin and his team did a fantastic job creating a visually beautiful and functional retaining wall for my home. His professionalism and work ethic impressed me so much, I had his team stay on for a landscaping and front yard design project. They did a fantastic job, communicated at all points of the job and created a great final project for us. Would hire again and highly recommend Evolution Landscape and Design."

"The young men were very polite, arrived early, and worked diligently to accomplish everything that we wanted done. Their work was excellent and they did even more than expected. They cleaned up the two work areas and put all furniture items, etc. right back where we wanted them. We cannot say enough good things about them--we would surely recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future should the need arise. We are extremely pleased with the final results!"

"We had a very challenging project and these guys did a great job on the landscaping refresh and sprinkler system overhaul. The pricing was fair and transparent and the work was done correctly and punctually. We will definitely use this company again."

"We liked our interior design plan that we received , but it just took a long time to get the final plan.  She had told us in the beginning that she had gotten a big response to that deal.

Lighting questions, answered by experts

No, you should not leave LED Christmas lights up all year. While the LED lights themselves are very durable, their wiring and casings can be as vulnerable as any Christmas lights. They’re subject to drying out, experiencing cold or sun damage that causes them to crack, and even damage caused by gnawing pests. (The same is true of incandescents.) If you want your lights to last the years that they’re rated for, bring them inside after Christmas is over.

Yes, professional landscape lighting is typically worth the investment. Installing a lighting system can improve your home’s curb appeal, safety, and security, and it can also deter burglars. It adds value to your home by creating a brightly-lit outdoor space you can use after dark and making the property more appealing to potential buyers. According to the National Association of Realtors, landscape lighting can add up to $2,500 to your home’s value, and on average, this type of home improvement has a 50% return on investment.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.

Yes, animals can trigger motion-sensor lights. In fact, this is a reason why some homeowners install motion-sensor lights, to catch sneaky little critters looking through the rubbish for a midnight snack. There are sensitivities to animal detection though, so you may want to look for an option that avoids animal detection as much as possible.

Before investing in motion sensor lights, there are a couple of disadvantages worth noting. For starters, they’re not as reliable as other forms of lighting. Motion sensor lights can be accidentally triggered by pets or wind, which can become a nuisance after a while. The opposite situation can occur, too, where they don’t turn on when you need them to.
