"Kind painted my exterior. Everyone from the estimator, to the color consultant to, the project manager, foreman and crew were friendly and showed genuine passion for their company and their work. The crew was thorough and efficient and did a wonderful job in 11 working hours and the price was fair. They are painting specialists whose only sideline is decorative lighting in season. I will definitely use them whenever I do some interior painting."

"Craig did an A+ job on both our windows and gutter cleaning. He informed me of some roof issues I had while on the roof which I would have never noticed until it caused a leak and also cleaned my outside coach lights and chandeliers that haven’t been cleaned I think ever and it made the entire room brighter! Definitely recommended."

"Chris & Trinton at High Meadows are Fantastic! My husband & I have been living out in the Black Forest for almost 25 years. Now that we both are seniors with health issues, we cannot even begin to try to do any snow removal in our driveway that gets terrible drifting. Over all these past years, we have had so many contractors come & go. This winter we found Chris & he has been such a "Blessing" to us ......he is the most polite, sincere, honest, dependable young man I have ever met. When Chris says he will get the job done, he will! Thank you, Chris, for such Exceptional, Reasonable, Reliable Service..... You all are our "Best Snow Men" ever!! Don't hesitate to call on High Meadows .... you won't be disappointed! We will also be calling on Chris for some help with landscaping projects. Thank You again! Gwen & Michael"

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.

To hang Christmas lights on a ceiling without using nails or traditional hooks, you have several damage-free options. Adhesive hooks and clips are a popular choice. For smaller projects, you can use pushpins, tacks, or adhesive putty. Specially designed transparent tape that can hold weight without damaging paint is also effective. For a more creative approach, consider stringing the lights over a curtain rod near the ceiling. If you have a drop ceiling, look for clips and hooks designed to attach to the metal framing. Note that staples can also be used, but may leave small holes.

Using a staple gun to hang Christmas lights on your roof or shingles is not recommended. Puncturing your roof with staples can cause damage, leading to cracks, leaks, and exposure to the elements. Staples are also less reliable than other methods like roof clips. For a safer alternative that won't damage your roof, use shingle tabs.

A blinking, or twinkle, bulb makes Christmas lights blink. Usually, this type of bulb has a silver or red tip, making it easily distinguishable from other non-blinking bulbs. Most packages of Christmas lights come with additional blinking and non-blinking bulbs. Additional bulbs can be purchased at a hardware store or online retailer.

There are several ways to hang Christmas lights safely. Here are some key Christmas light safety tips to keep in mind:

  • Always use Christmas lights and extension cords that are rated for outdoor use.

  • Don’t overload outlets by plugging in too many lights.

  • Opt for LED lights for a safer display that saves on energy costs.

  • Do not use old or broken Christmas lights.
