"JUST GO TO MAX COMFORT. We hired Specialized to work on a few leaks in our hot tub after moving it. Communication with this company is abysmal. During the 2 months and 15.5 hours of labor it took to fix these small leaks we were consistently put off. They never showed up when they said they would, then would show up randomly when we weren't home. No one ever called to say they couldn't come or when they were going to come. No one ever called after coming to our house to update us as to the progress. Charged us for way more labor than this job should have taken if performed efficiently. When we tried to have a conversation about poor customer service and our expectations of efficiency after recieving the bill they shut us down and charged the card they made us put on file at the beginning. No respect for us or our time. Uneffiecient unskilled work and unnecessary hours billed. Working with Specialized turned what should have been an easy experience into 2 months of drawn out confusion and frustration."

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.

"Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Most newer hot tubs are not expensive to maintain. Hot tub maintenance costs about $500 to $1,000 per year. You can DIY, but a pro can clean and treat your hot tub with chemicals and save you time. The biggest hot tub expenses are heating and repairs, but you can preserve your investment with regular maintenance.

You’ll know you need to replace the pump in your hot tub if you hear loud or unusual noises when the machine is running or notice a significant decrease in water pressure. A leak or altogether failure of the hot tub may also indicate a problem with the pump, but you’ll need a professional to investigate the source of the issue.

It’s easy to keep your hot tub clean and safe for all to enjoy by following a few simple tips:

  • Make sure anyone who uses the hot tub rinses themselves and their swimsuits off, perhaps in an outdoor shower near the hot tub.

  • Don’t add anything to your hot tub’s water. Bath oils and bubble bath liquids might seem like a fun addition to your hot tub experience, but these substances will turn the water in your tub foamy and its surfaces hard to clean.

  • Restrict eating in the tub to light snacks that you can easily clean out if there’s any spillage. Crumbs from crackers and chips can be difficult to pick up.

  • Make it a no-pet zone. Pet fur and dander can pose a cleaning issue, but it’s also not a great idea for your pet’s health and safety.

You should drain your hot tub three to four times a year to give it a thorough cleaning. This should take about an hour, but it depends on the size of your tub.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.
