"Colt Hunt and his crew are top notch! Colt responded quickly to our request for bids, came out promptly to give us an estimate, and then did the work on time and as expected. The main job was to install new doors. He was also willing to add some baseboard trim work to the job. Very professional and nice to work with and the work looks great!"

Fullerton Works is a Catholic-owned, family-operated luxury remodeling company with over 30 years of trusted industry experience. We take pride in building lasting relationships through honesty, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. As a premier provider of custom home renovations and high-end remodeling services, our mission is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service on every project. With a comprehensive range of remodeling solutions, we ensure each home we transform is beautiful, durable, cost-effective, and built to stand the test of time.

"The work that was done well, was excellent-interior woodworking and flooring, windows and most doors. However, Blake Fullerton was almost never on site, there was a long succession of subs that never communicated with each other. The project should have taken 6-8 months; And I realize it was during Covid.. but It has now been 3 years and 5 months. Blake Fullerton refuses to communicate and has not honored his promise to take care of the very long punch list. (I have emails) The work that was done poorly, was atrocious - plumbing in all three bathrooms, , tile floors in the basement, missing hardware,. Much of which I found in the garage, after we ordered replacements. The HVAC system worked fine before the renovation, afterward, the returns on the top floor ( relocated ) and main levels (new) were installed, however, they did not connect to the HVAC return on the unit itselfâ ¦ A very large return was installed in the basement, and is the only return that works. Now it is necessary to have the basement door open at all times.. The sub that did the work was confused about the un-connected returns, and couldnâ t remember what he had doneâ ¦ The stone work down stairs was removed to make way for new windows and doors . Some was replaced by an apparently drunk worker (I found an empty 12 pack of Modelo in the trash bin) who did such a bad job that Blake Fullerton fired him after seeing the work and promised to have it done again properly. That never happened.. The takeaway is be very cautious with this contractor, stay onsite during your entire project, watch the subs like a hawk. And most of all, lower your expectations. Good luck."

"Complete lack of supervision of subs; pot smoking, booze and beer cans left on site; demanded payment and put a lien on house without a final walkthru; paying out of pocket to finish and fix this GCs work"

I specialize in remodeling; Demolition and removal of walls and flooring, to trim and paint. Everything between. I do some minor plumbing and electrical. Nothing that requires licensing, however. I've been in the construction industry for 13 years professionally. I've worked in steel framing, concrete, roofing, painting, wood framing, but I've been in remodels and carpentry for majority of my experience. I can do incredible things with wood and a saw.

Adding a detached garage can increase the home's value by a healthy amount, provided it's well-constructed, permitted, and inspected. The return on investment for a detached garage depends on the structure's size and function, as well as its quality. On average, consumers who add a detached garage can expect their home's value to increase by between $12,000 and $36,000.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

A prefab, or prefabricated garage, requires far less construction work than one with a foundation and frame, but it’s not nearly as desirable and may not be a worthwhile option. A prefabricated garage won’t be as durable or long-lasting, and it doesn’t provide the same protection for your belongings and vehicles. Plus, you can use a standard garage for more uses—like living space—whereas a prefab garage only serves as a space for storage. Lastly, building a traditional garage will add to your home value, while a prefab garage usually won’t.

Yes, home builders need to be licensed in every state and municipality in the country. The specific license required varies based on the location and the work, but most states require that the builder hold a general contractor’s license at minimum. Some states and cities also require that plumbing, electrical, roofing, and sewage system construction require individual licenses, in which case the builder may subcontract the work. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to confirm that the builder you’re considering holds all the proper licenses.

Yes, there are a few different ways you can finance new construction. Some lenders offer new construction loans that cover the building costs and then convert to a standard mortgage once construction is complete. Some custom homebuilders also offer financing options that only require a down payment before you begin the building process. Construction loans are possible, as well, although they typically only cover the building process, and you’ll need to pay in full once the house is completed.
