"This was the 3rd time I’ve used Axium (specifically Tim Krapfl) for home inspection. Tim is very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional! I highly recommend. Tim did the home inspection, but the services also included sewer scope and radon testing."

"I recently had Vertical Restoration Colorado perform a mold inspection and was very impressed with their thoroughness and expertise. They carefully inspected every detail and provided expert recommendations to address the current mold issue and help mitigate future risks. My only reason for not giving a full 5 stars is that, at the time, they did not perform air testing, which would have given me even more reassurance. However, I understand they have since introduced air testing as an option, which is a fantastic addition to their already excellent service. I highly recommend them for a comprehensive mold inspection."

"Cameron arrived and finished garage floor epoxy job on time, showed sample finishes for selection, explained process and schedule, was easy to work with, performed work at a fair price, and finished job looks really nice.  We chose the "pewter" (gray) finish without added flecks or non-skid grit.  Finishing a floor with epoxy takes several days due to necessary acid etching, rinsing and drying of floor, epoxy coat, clear coat over epoxy, and 72 hour curing of epoxy/clear coat before use.

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

Some of the signs that could mean your water is contaminated, such as cloudiness or bubbliness, could also be non-problems that don’t affect your water’s potability. However, if your water smells or tastes strange, it’s a good idea to stop drinking it and test it immediately. If your well water is contaminated, the best way to discover that is to test it.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Lead removal is crucial in older homes to eliminate risks of lead poisoning, which can severely affect health, particularly in children, by impacting development and cognitive functions.
