Customers say: Quality work

"Did a fantastic job! The strong winds blew over a portion of my fence. I noticed at 5:30 pm. Contacted Romain who was able to come out at 8 am the next day and had it repaired by 11 am. Appreciate his quick turnaround! He left the fence better than it was prior to blowing over."

"Peppers Landscaping did an exceptional job replacing our fence. Juan, the foreman on the job is a skilled tradesman and great to work with. We rehired Peppers Landscaping for subsequent fence repairs/replacements."

"Excellent!! Brian and his brothers were on time, did an excellent job on removing old fencing and putting up new one. They took all debris with them when they left. I will be calling on them again to replace another section of fence."

"Fantastic experience! I hired CTL Fencing to replace a hurricane damaged fence. Cole is very easy to work with and was happy to answer my many, many questions. The total cost was fair and very reasonable. Cole was meticulous in his work, professional and showed up as he promised! The work was completed beyond my expectations. I am so glad I found Cole and highly recommend CTL Fencing! He does great high quality work AND on top of that, he is very nice!"

"We made an inquiry to Angi for artificial turf and Alex responded the same day. He came to view the site and provided a bid the next day. The team began working on my project within a few days. I was impressed. The quality of the work and materials was outstanding. The project was finished in the time estimated by Alex and was at cost! We are very pleased that we hired Mike High Sunrise for our turf project. So are our dogs!"

"Reached out to Father & Son for a small 50 linear foot fence quote. I'm guessing this is a less than ideal project for them, but Leon was enthusiastic about the job. He was able to provide a quote by me texting him pictures which is convenient for my schedule. Unfortunately a combo of timing and pricing did not line up, but I would not hesitate to reach out to them in the future."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The best type of temporary fencing depends on its intended purpose. For example, if you need it for added security, to ensure the safety of children and animals, or to keep pests out of a garden, the ideal material will differ. For simply warning people away from a construction project, plastic orange fencing may be sufficient. Barricade fencing is a good choice for blocking off small areas. If you need to protect an area from trespassing, theft, or vandalism, more robust security fencing is necessary. Once you understand the primary function, you can select the most durable and cost-effective material for your specific project and yard size.

Costs depend on material quality, fence length and height, installation complexity, and customization choices, but they average $20-$40 per linear foot.

There are several options for post materials. Depending on where you live, the weather, and what kind of durability you want, you can choose from wood, steel or concrete posts for a barbed wire fence. Your corner and end posts should be especially strong in order to maintain the structural integrity of the fence.

The depth of your post hole depends on your post length. If you decide on a two-rail fence, the posts are likely 6 feet long. You want your hole to be at least 1/3 of the post length. In this case, your post hole should be two feet deep.

If you opt for a three-rail fence, the posts will typically be 7 feet long, meaning your post hole should be 28 inches deep.

While they can be closer, the maximum distance between fence posts for residential fences is 8 feet. This ensures the panels are adequately supported by the fence posts. This is usually dictated by the width of the panel, which is typically between 5 and 8 feet. While narrower panels will require more posts, they’ll be lighter and easier to work with than wider panels that are the same height.
