"Outstanding service.  Technician arrived on time and performed diagnosis.  Although unit appeared to be working, it was not detected until later that the thermostat would not turn off the unit, so the new thermostat was not installed.  Technician and office personnel very helpful in coordinating return visit to install the new thermostat at no additional charge.
Normally, I do not write reviews.  These guys earned an A rating and my business for life.

"I was super impressed with Rocky Mountain services. They showed up after their normal business hours because I was freaking out.. my furnace went out all of a sudden and my house was freezing to the point I was afraid the pipes would freeze. No one else answered the phone but Rocky Mountain services answered right away and came out immediately. They got the heat back on that same night. I’d highly recommend them to family and friends. Infact, they’re coming back in the spring to install an AC unit for our house before summer. Super excited!!!"

"They were responsive, punctual, courteous and friendly.  The work was completed quickly, and they cleaned up afterwards.  They checked the plumbing for the other toilet, the kitchen sink and garbage disposal, and the main water shutoff and told me what to watch for to know when repairs might be necessary.  I would use them again.

"I had a wonderful experience. The owner personally did the job at my home since his other technicians were out in the field. I needed a garbage disposal replaced. He got me in right away. Stinks having to use one side of the kitchen sink. I’m really big on Customer Service, and the owner’s customer service was exceptional. I referred him out to my manager at work who just purchased a home. Highly recommend. Even though the job seemed small and quick, the customer service and availability is what was vital to me. Thanks 5280"

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.
