"I want others to know that am skilled in carpentry. He knows how to repair a cabinet even just to reface, it or other one matches other cabinets. A very talented person when it comes to carpentry. He doesn't appoint on the schedule even late already he still comes. He is reasonable in pricing. Thank you David for a great job done."

"Far and above perfection, professional, cautious of property. Oscar had not only the rugs in the rooms covered but all the way down the hall. I was given updates several times a day. Found some areas needed another coat he did it , looked wonderful and estimate was what I paid. I would use him again as my number one choice."

Customers say: Quick response

"I recently hired Matt to install a garbage disposal, kitchen faucet and rain showerhead in one of my bathrooms. He expertly installed all and suggested I replace the plastic safety water lines under the kitchen sink with steel braided ones. So I picked them up and he came back and changed them out at no extra charge! Great customer service and reasonably priced. I will definitely be using Matt's handyman services again!"

Customers say: True professional

"They did a very good job, but I could tell that they were not very experienced in hanging lights. The did not balance the electrical loads on the circuits they used. Also they did not check to see whether or not they exceeded the electrical load on the circuits they used. They could have planned ahead better and done a better job stringing the lights. They could also have saved themselves some time if they would have read the instructions I gave them. Donn DeCoursey"

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Medicine cabinets are not necessarily outdated, but they have evolved in design and functionality. However, some homeowners prefer other storage solutions, like wall-mounted shelving or modern vanity cabinets with built-in storage. Still, medicine cabinets remain a practical and space-saving choice in many bathrooms. In most cases, potential home buyers won’t be swayed by a medicine cabinet one way or the other.

How much cheaper it is to replace your cabinet doors depends on your needs. If you’re looking to spruce up the look and feel of your kitchen, then you can make cosmetic adjustments to your existing doors, like installing new knobs or a fresh coat of paint. Cabinets can be some of the most costly parts of a kitchen remodel, but if there’s structural damage regarding your doors, then replacing them is your best option.

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.

Whether to reface or paint comes down to personal preference. Refacing strikes a convenient balance between being more affordable than replacing cabinets and longer-lasting than painting them. Furthermore, it allows homeowners to completely change the aesthetic of their cabinets and still paint them if they choose to. If money was no object, refacing is the better option. However, it’s more expensive and time-consuming than painting. Painting remains an effective way to revamp your cabinets, both in look and longevity, without spending a ton of money.

Costs vary by materials used, surface size, and complexity. Refacing can be cost-effective compared to full replacements, with an average range between $300 and $1,200.
