"Frustrating process overall but they got the job done. Contacted them through Home Advisor service, next time I’ll book directly on their website as information collected from Home Advisor was not communicated to them from my request and since I missed a 7:15am phone call from them I could never explain to them what I needed hauled away. First call back, got transferred three times, promised a callback I never got. 2nd and subsequent callbacks I got put straight into a voicemail box that apparently does not get checked. Contacted them directly from their phone number on google search and was able to get an appointment set. If I’d not gone through Home Advisor I would have saved $20 through booking direct on their website, avoiding all this “fun”. Lastly the crew showed up 20 minutes after their two hour window provided so that was not stellar service. Good news is, the old piece of furniture is now gone from my driveway!"

"What a great job these folks did. We basically were only moving furniture, as we had "pre-moved" most of our clothing and knick-knacks, but what a great job they did with furniture: taking apart and reassembling furniture, wrapping and protecting finishes, and securing our goods on their truck. They did move one closet of clothing, hanging it in wardrobe boxes and rehanging at our destination. They were as busy as bees throughout the process. I highly recommend Moving APT."

Once you complete the moving process, you’ll have to transition into paying for your new living expenses, including monthly rent or mortgage payments. You should also consider the cost of property taxes, utilities, and new furnishings for your home.

Most municipal or waste management companies do not allow you to put out a refrigerator for regular trash pickup. You can, however, call your waste management company and ask about the proper steps for “special” or bulk pickup (if it’s offered) or information about local community programs offering refrigerator recycling.

The cost of biohazard cleanup averages between $3,000 and $5,000 for most homeowners. Some services, like sanitizing high-traffic areas or sanitizing surfaces from a virus, cost closer to $1,500. However, other circumstances, like the extensive cleanup after a major sewer backup, could cost as much as $25,000

Several types of items aren't allowed in roll-off dumpsters. First of all, hazardous materials and hazardous liquids are a no-go. This includes asbestos, oil, wet paint and other materials. Other banned items include batteries, electronics with lithium batteries, propane tanks, tires, and appliances with refrigerants. Some areas have shifting requirements (for instance, certain locations do not allow mattresses), so check with your local regulatory agency.

Charcoal that contains lighter fluid or other additives is considered hazardous waste. Natural lump charcoal with no additives is not considered hazardous waste, although it is a flammable material. Burned charcoal that is reduced to ash is not considered hazardous waste and can be disposed of in an appropriate container in an outdoor trash barrel.
