"James made an hour and a half trip to help us out. He got right to work and not only took the doors we mentioned but was also able to take some other items we gathered that were not previously mentioned. He’s hardworking and reasonable. We would definitely call him again for any other junk removal and would recommend Summit Junk Removal to others."

"Great customer service and very friendly. Arrived at the designated time. Very careful not to damage any areas in the house. Picked up our heavy two section recliner couches from our basement and took them only about 20 minutes Only charged $70. The couches were still in good condition, so they were going to take them to a donation center and not the dump."

"I had a long distance move from Miami to Orlando and Moving APT did a phenomenal job. I opted in for the full packing service so they literally packed EVERYTHING, disassembled, loaded it, drove it, then unloaded and reassembled it at my new home. I did not have to move a single item aside from my own car. The crew was extremely helpful, professional and punctual and they had extremely competitive pricing. 5 star experience"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.
