Small jobs welcome

"Incredible advisor and general contractor, not only for his experience but for his knowledge in the construction and remodeling processes, I have several assets in the mountains, many times I paid for various maintenance, repairs and remodeling services, but I never had such excellent service, they finished my project even in less time than established, there were no hidden costs, no waste of materials, during the execution of my project the intervention areas were always organized and clean, the result of my project exceeded all my expectations and far in quality with respect to Several companies that I had hired in the past, are already scheduled for my future remodelings, Thanks Jhon for your support and dedication."

"Brandon and his team are amazing! They do what they say, when they say, and the quality of work is top-notch. My deck needed a complete overhaul due to rotting wood and poor infrastructure that was also not to code. Brandon worked with me on the budget that I had, offering his expertise and recommendations as to what "absolutely" needed to be done vs. what could wait until Spring. His crew is honest and hard working (who works until 6pm on a Friday anymore!) - both of which are very tough to find. Last but not least, at the end of each work day the crew cleaned up, swept, and hauled away materials. I didn't have to worry about nails, wood, and whatever else all over my driveway at the end of each day, which is also important with young kids. If you are looking for deck repair or a complete deck overhaul, I highly recommend Deck Doctor! Brandon and his team with 25+ years of experience are genuinely good people!"

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

Composite decking requires a solid foundation or substructure for support. This base is typically a frame composed of posts, beams, joists, and footings. The frame can be built from various materials, such as composite, plastic, timber, or metal, depending on your budget, deck type, and environmental conditions. For maximum stability, a professional deck builder may recommend installing this frame on top of a solid concrete base. It is best to discuss the most suitable substructure design and materials for your specific project with a professional.

No, your deck will not rot under artificial grass as long as it is installed properly. When installed correctly, the artificial grass features a drainage system that prevents rotting. Simply laying artificial grass on top of the decking without proper installation will not lead to an effective drainage system that prevents rotting.

Yes, snow should be removed from a deck to protect it from damage caused by moisture and heavy loads. Shovel the snow off of your deck regularly once it is more than four inches deep. Avoid using salt, which can damage your deck.

Staining and sealing the underside of a deck creates a moisture barrier but traps water in the boards, quickly leading to rot. No matter how well you seal the above deck, water still gets through via nails and screw heads on the surface. Allow this water to flow naturally under the deck, where it is routed through the drainage system.

The best paver for your pool deck depends on your budget, style, and how much maintenance you’re willing to invest. Granite is one of the best low-cost pavers for pool decks. It’s very slip-resistant and durable, too, making it a top pick. Travertine is a high-quality material that resists freeze-thaw cycles, looks stunning, and won’t get hot in the summer. The only downside to travertine is that it costs more than granite.
