"I recently had a solar panel system installed by Dynamic Solar, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, the process was seamless, professional, and transparent. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain all my options, ensuring I understood the benefits and potential savings. They handled everything—from the permits to the final inspection—making the whole experience hassle-free. The installation itself was quick and efficient, with the crew arriving on time and working diligently to complete the job. They were respectful of my property, leaving everything clean and tidy when they finished. The system was up and running faster than I expected, and I was immediately impressed by the quality of the installation. Since the installation, my energy bills have noticeably decreased, and I’m thrilled with the performance of the solar panels. I also appreciate that Dynamic Solar has been available to answer any follow-up questions I’ve had, demonstrating their commitment to excellent customer service. I highly recommend Dynamic Solar to anyone considering solar. Their combination of expertise, professionalism, and outstanding customer service makes them a top choice. I’m so glad I made the switch to solar with Dynamic Solar!"

"We will definitely use them again. And when talking about solar for the home just makes sense! I loved how informative Dan and Kevin were about solar requirements and options. We want to put solar up and now we know the benefits of owning it outright as apposed to a PPA we were discussing with other companies. It may take a little longer to get to the point to buy it outright but it is definitely the way were are going to go. Thank you for the help and information!"

"The three technicians that came out did everything the deal specified. They didn't try to up sell us on anything. In fact, they told us what we actually need versus what companies might tell us we need. They worked diligently from the time they arrived until the time they left and proved extremely knowledgeable about their craft. I was very impressed with the way they communicated with me--that is, they explained things without being condescending. We asked for an upgrade on our electrical panel, so we paid them a bit outside the deal. The technician noticed that there was wiring that could have caused a fire, which was incorrectly rigged by the last owner of our house. The technician fixed everything that was incorrectly connected and when it came time for inspection, all the work they did passed with flying colors. All of the areas where they worked were left exceptionally clean. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the work and will definitely use this company in the future for any electrical needs. The integrity and honesty exhibited were enough to make for one satisfied and long term customer!"

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Solar batteries can be a great investment to help maximize your solar savings and make your system and home more valuable, but they’re most beneficial to customers who don’t have access to net metering. If your state or energy provider doesn’t provide net metering, batteries can be a great way to offset consumption even when your panels aren’t producing power. They also come with the added benefit of providing electricity through blackouts, so they’re valuable in areas prone to severe weather that could cause frequent blackouts. Your installer can help you decide if batteries are worthwhile.

In almost every case, solar panels need to be removed to replace roof shingles. In some cases, such as solar installations where the panels are on raised platforms above the roof surface, installers may be able to install new shingles without removing the solar installation. However, to get a quality roofing installation, panels need to come off. Most roofing contractors won’t remove or reinstall solar panels as part of a roofing project, so you’ll need to contact your solar provider.

The actual time it takes to construct the solar farm is relatively short, taking between 2 and 4 months on average. That timeline is dependent on site conditions, crew size, and the overall size of the solar farm.

However, the time it takes to get the ball rolling is significantly longer, ranging from 3 to 5 years. With a project of this scale, you’ll need to obtain all of the proper permits and approvals to start breaking ground, and depending on your location, that could be an extended process.

Yes, it is possible to install solar panels on a tar and gravel roof, but it is not the ideal roofing material for a solar installation. The process requires roof penetrations to install the solar racking system. While installers will seal these penetrations, they still increase the risk of leaks. This risk is higher on tar and gravel roofs, which are often flat. Flat roofs are more prone to leaks than sloped roofs because they can pool water during heavy rain and hold snow for longer periods, exposing the roof to more moisture.

The best solar panels to withstand hail are those rated UL 61730. These solar panels are certified to withstand hailstones up to 3 inches in diameter and travel at speeds up to 88 mph. IP68 solar panels are the next most resilient solar panel. Solar panels without these ratings can handle hail up to 1 inch in diameter that travels up to 50 miles per hour. If you live in an area with frequent or severe hailstorms, purchasing UL 61730 solar panels is often worth the investment.
