"The job was completed within a week of arrival materials. Excellent communication, the crew did a good job. John V was highly professional and competent. Having obtained multiple estimates for the same work, and done some research about what it should cost I found their pricing was neither outrageous not super cheap in an effort to win the bid. They identified a specific problem with the exterior sheathing when the old siding came off which raised the cost 10%. It wasn't something they could have anticipated. I was happy they found and addressed the issue rather than doing a shoddy job. I was not particularly happy when they started cleaning painting equipment on the front lawn, but that was a relatively minor issue quickly addressed. Post completion the minor punch list items were quickly addressed. I would recommend them for the siding work."

"Keith worked with me for about 3 months before I decided the final project. Keith was very professional and patient. He gave 3 estimates for which to choose from. He even hired a designer to help with the colors and placement of the panels. Work was started on time and it looks wonderful. I would highly recommend GS Exterior Experts."

"I am very skeptical on door to door sales but they did everything excellent. Everything was very smooth and I didn't feel pressured at all to get my windows fixed. They worked very well on financing. They did our install in one day and was very clean about it. Everyone did a very good job in our project for our windows."

Customers say: Terrific value

"From start to finish, Drew and Jose were amazing! Great communication, answered all my questions, and very understanding/kind down to every last detail. They installed 2 egress windows for us with poly covers. They made sure it was all cleaned up, our landscaping was put back, our grade was correct, and everything was done right! They even raked our grass to fluff it back up after it was all done. If you want a company that is reasonable, excellent communicators, and done right, go with Colorado Egress. We couldn’t be more pleased and we are very type A/ perfectionists. :)"

Customers say: Quick response

"Three years ago, Chris put in two egress windows for me. Last year he put a window in my basement bathroom. I was needing some trim done in my basement. I mistakenly thought Chris was a window guy. Now I know, He’s an everything guy. I would definitely recommend Chris."

"Paolo's Siding did excellent work and at a great price.  This was a somewhat unusual custom job, and we were not looking to spend a huge amount on a fancy-schmancy remodel - we just wanted a functional pantry.  Paolo's Siding got it exactly right.  We were thoroughly pleased with the experience."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The cost to remove a mirrored wall from your home ranges between $100 and $3,300, though the average price is only $500. You can save money by doing it yourself, but make sure you have safety equipment such as goggles and gloves, as well as the proper tools (drywall knife, wire saw, and a plastic sheet or tarp to cover the floor).

Whether it's better to repair or replace a broken mirror depends on its size, value, and the extent of the damage. For small, inexpensive mirrors, replacement is often the better choice, as the average repair cost of around $200 can be close to the price of a new one. However, for large mirrors—like those over a bathroom vanity or large floor mirrors—repair is usually more cost-effective. A new large mirror can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, while repairs typically range from $50 to $200. You should also consider the mirror's age and sentimental value. Antique mirrors and family heirlooms are often priceless and irreplaceable, making repair the most sensible or only option.

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.

You can use hot, soapy water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, window cleaner, nail polish remover, WD-40, and cooking oil to remove glass labels. You can also apply heat with a hair dryer or steam cleaner. Use a plastic scraper or credit card to remove the adhesive, as a razor blade can permanently scratch your glass.
