"Keith worked with me for about 3 months before I decided the final project. Keith was very professional and patient. He gave 3 estimates for which to choose from. He even hired a designer to help with the colors and placement of the panels. Work was started on time and it looks wonderful. I would highly recommend GS Exterior Experts."

"Windows are good. Work was sloppy. Still finding shards of glass on the floor and the furniture a week after completion. Caulking looks like a third grader did it- including caulking the screen door to the frame. For this type of investment, they should act like professionals."

"I am super impressed with the quality and warranty. Definitely a step up from the builder grade windows we currently have and that are available at the big box stores. And the warranty is a lifetime warranty on all parts and glass and is transferable. I worked with Joe. He was very friendly, and knowledgeable."

"After using Paulo's team to do our siding project a year ago, we gave them a chance to bid on a project to replace our patio and build a pergola.  Paulo's bid was the lowest of the three we received, and given the outstanding experience we had with them a year ago we decided to hire them again.  The experience was, once again, outstanding.  Removal of the old patio was quick and pretty neat, the 16 by 16 pergola was framed out in just a day, and the paver patio was built in about a week. The architect Paulo hired created detailed pergola specs which passed the city of Golden permit office without incident.  Once again, everything was done to our satisfaction and any little issues we noted were taken care of.  As was the case with the siding job, everyone who worked on our project seemed very competent and had a good attitude.  If another project came up we would not hesitate to utilize Paulo's team, and in the meantime I will happily refer anyone I know to them."

Glaziers FAQs, answered by experts

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.

Hard water stains can permanently damage your glass if left untreated. The minerals dissolved in the water can etch the glass, causing long-term damage and affecting the overall integrity of the surface. Luckily, it is pretty simple to remove hard water stains by using vinegar, baking soda, or commercial cleaners.

This can be a matter of personal preference, but a good rule of thumb is to center your bathroom mirror over the sink’s faucet. In some cases, if the sink is off-center in the vanity or  you have multiple sinks in the same vanity, you may find it more aesthetically pleasing to center the mirror over the vanity.
