Small jobs welcome

"Ryan was great to work with. His immediate response in wanting to get the project done was great! He did great work and was very accommodating with our schedule and when the project could be finished. Will be using him on other projects around the house for sure. Definitely would recommend to others! Thank you Ryan!"

Customers say: True professional

"Ryan and his team provided services in a professional manner. They made an appointment and showed up on time and performed a thorough site survey. Based on their site survey, they provided a detailed estimate in a timely manner. Upon acceptance of their estimate, they scheduled time to complete the task. They showed up on time, and despite the 100+ degree temperature, they restored and upgraded the stalls and stall doors, installed and adjusted them, and (just as importantly) cleaned up the job site and left the barn in a pristine, almost new, condition. They were polite, professional, and diligent. We are ecstatic about their work and work ethic and are already planning on having them perform more services for us."

"FOUNDER'S RENOVATIONS -- A FAIR PRICE FOR EXCELLENT WORK I contracted with Founder's Renovations to finish the two unfinished walls of my third garage bay, where I had recently installed a golf simulator. The job included insulation, drywall, new electrical lines, and installing a mini split heat pump. The owner, Thomas Williams, was professional, efficient, and friendly. He listened to me, made suggestions, and after we agreed on a plan, he delivered excellent work in a timely fashion. The proposal was fair, invoices were detailed, and there were no surprises at the end. Thomas communicated clearly throughout and it was a genuine pleasure to work with him. In short, I highly recommend Founder's Renovations and Thomas Williams."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

The cost to maintain a pool depends on its size and condition. A one-time pool cleaning session costs around $250, and regular weekly maintenance costs $25 to $40 per week. You can get a discount if you buy services in bulk. Regular pool maintenance helps limit the number of repairs and identify signs of trouble.

The only pools that don’t need grounding are those without electrical components, such as small inflatable pools. Any outlet around a pool should be a GFCI to cut the current if the outlet gets too wet. At the very least, the pool’s electrical should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, if not a dedicated GFCI breaker. Check local guidelines and requirements to ensure you’re following all safety regulations.

There are pros and cons of in-ground vs. above-ground pools, which you should consider when choosing the pool of your summertime dreams. Some factors to think about include:

  • Above-ground pools are semi-permanent and movable, whereas in-ground pools are permanent structures.

  • In-ground pools are more expensive to install than above-ground pools.

  • It takes one to three days to install above-ground pools and several weeks for an in-ground pool install.

  • You can install an above-ground pool in smaller yards, but you need plenty of space for an in-ground pool.

The most expensive part of building a pool is typically the excavation and labor, which can account for 25% to 50% of the total project cost. This is particularly true for inground pools that require significant excavation, potentially including the rental of large equipment, and extensive construction labor. In contrast, above-ground pools are generally less expensive as they typically do not require excavation and can be installed much more quickly. Concrete in-ground pools are among the most labor-intensive options.

Yes, pool pumps use a significant amount of electricity, making them one of the biggest energy consumers in a home. A pool pump can use up to three times as much electricity as a refrigerator. Typically, a residential pool pump consumes about 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) for every hour it runs. Because pumps often need to run for about eight hours a day to properly filter the water, this can add up to an annual consumption of 3,000 to 5,000 kWh, which can cost between $480 and $800 per year based on average electricity rates.

The amount of electricity your pump uses depends on its size, energy efficiency, and daily run time. To lower your energy consumption, you can choose an energy-efficient or variable-speed pump, ensure it is correctly sized for your pool, and run it only for the minimum time required to keep the water clean.
