Our eight year old Whirlpool washer began showing Error Code F35 and would not function.  I called ProServ and arranged for an appointment the next day.  The serviceman arrived promptly and was quickly able to find the cause of the problem -- a faulty pressure sensor.  Unfortunately, this was not a part stocked locally, and so it had to be ordered from a distribution center.  The new sensor arrived two days later, and was installed the same day.  Voila, the washer was fixed!

Regarding pricing: the initial diagnosis was $50; the part (which cost less than a dollar to make) cost $132; the remaining repair charge was $108.  Given that the serviceman needed to make two trips, I think ProServ's labor charge was fair.  I checked online the price of the Whirlpool genuine replacement part, and that cost was simply passed along to me with a negligible, if any, mark up.

I gave ProServ the highest possible positive review because the company earned it.  ProServ was quick in its response, diagnosed and fixed the problem as rapidly as practicable, and was fair in its pricing.

"I purchased the Deal expecting the same level of service I received from other Deal services. Improvement Pros originally gave me a date in mid-July. When I had to reschedule, the appointment was moved to mid-August. No offers to put me on a wait list. Just a statement that the work would be done on that date. Two men arrived to install the fans. They told us that it would probably take more time than the three hours purchased and that it would be less expensive to just buy the extra hour. The fans were being installed on sloped,9' ceilings. It took 4 hours to install three fans.
The workmen  did the job and left the area clean. I was disappointed that it took 4 hours. I was disappointed about the lack of availability. I felt put on the spot that if I didn't pay the extra charge, then the fans wouldn't be installed.
When I first used Improvement Pros, it was just John Greer and his wife. They had recently moved to the area. It was a great experience, which was one of the reasons I bought the deal. Now I feel that the company has become just another service.

"I called Peter at All Star Electic to do some work at the house. I explained what I needed and he got right on it. First he installed a new outlet for the outside front porch with a plastic protective cover. Next he added a coach light to the garage that matched the existing one Peter installed a set of motion detection flood lights above the garage to illuminate the driveway when someone approached. He showed me how to program the lights with the different settings. The whole job took about an hour and half. He cleaned up thework area and presented the invoice. He was very professional and very thorough."
