A employee owned company that came together to offer a honest and transparent process that is tailor fit to your project. We can provide an in depth view from start to finish on project large and small. We go the distance to provide cost saving measures so we can stay under budget and on time.

"We paid them $9356.26 as 60% down to complete a sliding glass door installation and patio enclosure. After 2 months of being given the run around. We have two projects started and neither completed. They provided us with maybe 12 hours worth of work. They are no longer showing up to work or returning our phone calls. We were told by the company that they were bankrupt and used our money for another job. They said we no longer have your money. They still have their website up and have their phones listed as Risen Contractor Group. Do not hire!"

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Yes, gable vents can let water in. That being said, this usually only occurs during extreme conditions like heavy rainfall. You can prevent water from entering through gable vents by adding a screen that traps the water before it can enter.

Yes, replacing a roof is always a good investment if the current one is in poor condition. Not only will it preserve the structural integrity of the home, but it can also add value at the time of sale. The average return on investment for a new roof is between 48% and 61%. Prospective buyers are also more likely to purchase a home with a recently replaced roof since that means they won’t need to worry about that expense in the near future.

A chimney that leaks in heavy rain is not functioning properly. This may be due to damage accrued over time from exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, which can cause cracks to form in the chimney crown and ultimately allow moisture to seep in from above. It could also be due to a faulty or missing chimney cap.

Roof vents are an essential part of a roof, as they promote energy efficiency by keeping warm, humid air at bay. The roofing material, especially asphalt shingles, will not last as long as it should (about half of its manufacture life) if the attic is not ventilated. Also, going without ventilation means having a warm attic that demands more from your air conditioning system (and your wallet, once the bills come). Ridge vents and roof vents also prevent a host of other icky moisture-related problems like rot, mold, and mildew.

A few disadvantages of installing solar panels on your roof include the high up-front costs and the potential for increased property taxes. Installing solar panels can increase the home’s value, which in turn can mean higher taxes. Depending on your area, you should check with your local tax offices for more information. Another potential pitfall is roof leaks from a poor installation, but this shouldn’t be an issue if you hire a reputable company.
