"Thomas J. did a very good job removing our tub and installing a shower. He worked mostly by himself with some help from Master Plumber. The process was well explained and any questions were answered. All was done in a days time."

"This is the second shower that Michael Williams has done for us and is very easy to work with and displays professionalism in all he does. His attention to detail is outstanding with a desire to insure that we are aware of the choices for placement of shelves and such to make the final product work best for us. Mike went the extra mile to insure that everything went well and suggested how we could complete the surrounding work that results in a great and beautiful remolded bathroom. We were happy with the support for the Bordner team in meeting and solving any concerns we may have had. Mike is a great example of what you would hope for in a person that comes into your home. He takes care to work with you and respects your home and does a great job of leaving the work area clean. Thank again Mike for a job well done. We would look forward to having you in our home again for other projects."

"Tim and Kylar pinpointed our water problem. They were fast, efficient, professional, good communicators, knowledgeable, impressive. Like a magnet, Tim went to the heart of the problem, which was water overflowing behind the drywall from water being pumped out by our sump pump. He diagnosed the problem as a clogged line and recommended that we call a drain company, not a plumber, to have them come out and clear the line. Kylar provided on the spot assistance to Tim. They solved our problem. It gave us great relief and we're very grateful to them for it. Don and Dixie"

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

When tackling plumbing in CO, expect surprises from aging pipe materials. Homes built before the 1980s feature galvanized steel or cast iron pipes that suffer from hard water corrosion, requiring extensive replacement. Exterior pipes installed above the 36-inch frost line sustain severe freeze damage. Additionally, shifting clay soils complicate underground excavation. Always account for required municipal permits and necessary sewer lateral replacements before starting work.

Helpful?

Many older homes in Brush feature slab-on-grade foundations that require extensive concrete cutting for drain repairs. Properties with full basements rely on outdated ejector pumps that demand immediate code upgrades during a project. Uninsulated crawl spaces also suffer from moisture intrusion and freeze damage. Hire a local professional to evaluate your foundation type and identify any unpermitted additions before beginning your plumbing project.

Helpful?

After finishing plumbing in Brush, flush your water lines thoroughly to clear out hard water sediment. Secure your final city inspection sign-off and file the permit documents to protect your property value. Check all exterior pipes for proper insulation to prevent winter freeze damage. Finally, monitor your drains for several weeks, as shifting clay soils cause new settling issues around freshly disturbed pipe joints.

Helpful?

Functional plumbing addresses burst pipes or sewer backups and requires mandatory permits and city inspections in CO. Cosmetic work, like upgrading a visible fixture, bypasses these strict code requirements. However, hard water mineral staining looks cosmetic but actively restricts internal pipe flow. Schedule cosmetic upgrades during the spring or fall, and reserve winter months for urgent functional repairs that involve frozen ground excavation.

Helpful?

In Brush, opening walls for plumbing exposes shared chases with electrical or HVAC systems, especially in mid-century homes. Because the area has hard water, replacing pipes uncovers scale buildup that stresses water heaters and dishwashers. Work near natural gas lines requires strict coordination. Hire a licensed contractor to inspect your home’s layout to ensure your appliances and utility lines remain safe during the project.
