"Wow! What a great job! Paul, Anthony and the crew did an excellent job trimming 4 very large trees and several bushes. They were prompt, courteous, very professional and fully cleaned up the brush and trees. We highly recommend A.P. Evacuation and Landscaping and will be hiring them again for more work. Overall, they exceeded our expectations; thank you very much! As an aside, this is a family business and they worked together beautifully. The working relationships were admirable and again, we highly recommend them!"

"Cesar completed a beautiful reconstruction of our patio paver project that was previously improperly installed by a different contractor in 2018. Cesar carefully evaluated the defects of drainage, lack of foundation base layer and grading that had led to a collapse. Each step of reconstruction was professionally completed, and itemized pricing estimates were clearly communicated and consistent with the final billing statement. I recommend Highland Hardscapes without reservation."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Boulder, prioritize land surveying when preparing for property sales, resolving boundary disputes, or applying for building permits, as these often have strict deadlines. If your project involves routine documentation or future renovations, consider waiting for favorable weather to ensure optimal results. Always review local permit timelines and HOA guidelines, as these may dictate when a survey is required for your specific situation.

Helpful?

Land surveying in Boulder becomes more complex with properties featuring steep slopes, dense vegetation, or proximity to water features. Unique challenges also arise with properties in historic districts, where original boundary markers may be missing. Environmental restrictions, such as protected habitats, and the presence of underground utilities further complicate topographic surveys and require specialized techniques to ensure accurate, comprehensive results.

Helpful?

As homes in Boulder age, initial surveys for new builds often give way to updated boundary surveys for additions, fencing, or resolving encroachments. Over time, shifting markers or landscape changes may prompt re-surveys, especially for estate planning or property sales. For older homes, integrating historical records with modern mapping helps maintain accurate property lines and supports compliance with local zoning requirements.

Helpful?

Boulder’s variable weather can delay or complicate land surveying projects. Heavy snow, spring runoff, and sudden storms may limit site access or obscure key features. Freeze-thaw cycles can shift survey markers, requiring extra verification. Surveyors often schedule work during milder seasons and use specialized equipment to ensure reliable measurements, minimizing the impact of wind, temperature swings, and intense sunlight on survey accuracy.

Helpful?

In Boulder, precise identification of property boundaries is highly sensitive to mistakes, especially when dealing with irregular lot shapes or older neighborhoods. Overlooking subtle topographic changes or misinterpreting existing survey markers can lead to costly boundary disputes. Accurate flood zone determinations also require careful elevation measurements, as even minor errors can impact building permits, insurance requirements, and future property development.
