"Sergio is very responsive, reliable, fair and trustworthy. We used him for both a very large project (~8000 SF of new drywall) as well as a number of small projects following the major one (e.g. garage drywall patching, etc.) Sergio's crew was high quality, professional, fast, and reliable. Sergio was always easy to reach, and an overall friendly person. Would highly recommend him and his crew to anyone looking for drywall work!"

Customers say: Quality work

"We wanted a 35 foot long concrete driveway installed in front of ouR house for our RV. We also had a bunch of juniper bushes and rocks that had to be removed. I messaged 6 different contractors. Most never contacted me. within 1 hour I got a call from Erik Valdovinos who said he could come by later that day. He did. He said he would send me a estimate in a couple of days and he did. He said he would start work on Monday and it would take 4-5 days. He did show up and he did finish on time. He even brought his own Porto potty for his guys to use!! Haha. Erik the owner takes pride in his work. He is very knowledeable and he was not only on the job site every day he did the finish work himself. every time I called his cell phone he answered it. Erik is a man of his word. I would definitely use him again and have already recommended him to friends who need concrete work.. Thanks again Erik... James J. Rohnert Park"

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Regular inspection for issues like cracks or leaning and ensuring drainage stays clear.

Poured concrete is often the cheapest material for a retaining wall, costing around $6 to $8 per square foot. Other budget-friendly options include vinyl and landscaping timbers, which range from $10 to $15 per square foot; landscaping timbers are particularly well-suited for DIY projects. Untreated timber and railroad ties are a step up in price, starting at $15 to $25 per square foot. Natural stones can also be a cost-effective choice if you can source them from your own property, but they can be expensive to purchase. High-end materials like steel are typically the most expensive but offer superior durability and aesthetics.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.
