"Colby came on time in the morning to give me an estimate of installing an outlet in my back porch and a new switch in my dining room that would be connected to a new outlet The price was reasonable and I hired him. He sent out two young men on the same day close to noon. Ryan and Scott were polite, pleasant and kind young men who did an excellent job!! They even drove to the Ace hardware to get the right switch. (3 ways) They cleaned the mess inside and outside of my house. I will hire them again and highly recommend them. Thank you guys!!"

"Everything went fine with the exception of the fan install which was pretty tricky - we have some funky wiring done in the 80s by the old homeowner. Otherwise, great - Marcus got out to our house quickly and there were A LOT of lights/switches/exhaust fans to install which were taken care of quickly and at a reasonable price."

"German came shortly after I had several large trees stump grinned, during our last major storms. His prices were more reasonable in comparison with other landscapers and he did an amazing job. He used a bobcat to remove the wood chips, debris, installed a new irrigation system, and installed a new raised concrete barrier. This was a lot of work and I’m pleased with German’s work. He also fixed a sprinkler section that I trouble with prior to the storm. He’s very knowledgeable and reasonable."

"The initial appointment was canceled when they didn't get their shipment of product on time.  This meant we had to reschedule two additional weeks out.  This was understandable but very inconvenient.  We ordered the tube light but when they arrived, they had the me down for the attic fan but luckily had the a tube light with them.  They convinced us to install the attic fan as well.  It was a good decision as it has really reduced the temperature in the second floor of our house.  They were friendly enough, but not super careful about bringing dirt in and out of the house with their boots.  They even ended up forgetting a drill bit on our book shelf.  They also used our garbage can to dispose of the boxes which was okay but not ideal.  Overall for the price, I felt like it was a pretty good deal.

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Never add oil unless the fan is specifically designed for it. Most modern ceiling fans are designed with sealed bearings that don’t require oiling. However, some older fans may have oil ports for lubrication. If your fan is older and you hear squeaking or grinding, check the manual or the manufacturer’s website to see if oiling is recommended.

The lifespan of an attic fan depends on the type. Passive fans can last 40 to 50 years, while electric and solar models typically last 10 to 15 years. You can extend the life of your fan with regular maintenance, such as cleaning the fan blades and shutters and checking for moisture. For professional service, you can consult a local attic fan installer or have an HVAC technician clean, oil, and inspect the unit for potential issues.

Yes, you can oil an electric fan with machine or motor oil but don’t use cooking oil because it can become thick or seize up, damaging the fan. Before oiling your fan, turn it off and remove any dust and debris. Wipe away any excess lubricant after oiling.

Regularly clean fan grilles, check for dust buildup, and ensure proper venting to prevent mold growth.

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.
