Rudy gave us an estimate that was very competitive and much more comprehensive than the other estimates we received. He made sure there would be nothing unexpected or any unwelcome surprises. This was a big job on a house that the roof had been long neglected. There was a lot of wood repair that had to be done before the new roof could go on. This included both the house and a wooden patio cover. Wood replacement was the bulk of the cost. Both Rudy, and Tito, the job foreman, made suggestions along the way on things we could consider to help defray some of the costs at the same time making the house look really good. The crew showed up each day on time, were respectful of the property, cleaned up each day before departing, and all in all were always professional. The roof replacement included a lot of skylights (13 including the patio). We were opting for the cheaper “big box store” white skylights. Rudy had me look at an amber custom skylight in comparison and we ended up going with those. Night and day difference. They look so good and we are so thankful for his recommendation. (The company made nothing on the skylights, just made sure they had a very happy customer.) Yes, it cost a little more, but not that much and the visual difference is incredible! So pleased with the overall job. I highly recommend Sequoia Roofing for your roofing job

Excellent. Didn't know much about any of this. They sent me pictures of the job progress daily. Explained what would happen before it happened, were meticulous and accurate about the cost, type of material and duration of the job. Each day they cleaned their work space, workmen were courteous (no blasting radios, etc) and efficient. I had a large roof replacement and they were in and out within a week. Customer support after the job was finished is also excellent. Office personnel are professional and courteous

This company replaced the roof on my house, the roof on my commercial building and they installed solar panels for my home. They have always given me the best price. They do excellent work, and they are very reliable. I even got comments from tenants about how nice these roofers were. The work product has always been excellent. We had a very challenging home re-roofing project that required a great deal of creativity. They did great

Frank and his team were amazing. Frank came out and I received a quote for my project the next day. Scheduling with Margaret was a breeze, and the completion of the project happened in the estimated window. I can’t say enough about the excellence of his team. Edgar, Victor, and Noel did an amazing job. They were on time every day, and always very professional. I’m so happy with the finished product

For a job of this magnitude it went awesome. I picked the right contractor for the job. Apologies to John and co for the delay in writing this review. My son was born a few weeks after the install so it has been a busy year. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the painting of the wood that was replaced was a real plus for me. I suspect this may not be the cheapest company you may find. I think other companies would have not replaced the previously termite infested wood but long term I strongly believe I chose the best option here. The painting was another plus. It was high up on my two story home so if no painting happened I would have needed to get another contractor to finish the job. John was a one stop shop in this regard and I really appreciate that aspect of the service. There were some downsides in terms of cleaning up post install debris but you would get this with any roof removal of this magnitude and I thought PRS did a good job here. If I had to do it again though I might have done the following to aid the process: * don't remove everything in the garage but make it so that when the guys are putting plastic sheeting over your stuff, your stuff is arranged in such a way that it is easy to get the plastic over it. IE: remove stuff off the top shelf of a shelving unit perhaps - pack away any loose stuff. Just imagine yourself placing the plastic wrap over things, massive amounts of roof debris coming down, and see how it would resolve. Anyhow, even though I did nothing here, and am a stage 1 hoarder, I still did not have to do that much vacuuming and post-cleaning in the garage! * there was also some debris in my AC outside unit. I saw they had plastic wrap over that initially but later it left. I think if I had to do this again I would have shut the AC system down for the duration of the job and informed them of this fact so they could just leave the plastic in place. IE: how do they know the system won't just come back on! Just a tip here. I did open up my outside AC unit and vacuumed all the roof stuff in there. * there was some debris in my kitchen vent over the stove. I was concerned when I first turned it on (loud noise) but then it stopped and has been working fine ever since so a non-issue. Anyhow, this was the extent of the debris annoyance which again, you would get with any contractor for something like this. Hope this helps someone reading. John also worked very well with my solar contractor (REC Solar at the time, now part of Sunrun) and coordinated the stand off install before the final roof went on. In close, I found John to be very knowledgeable on all things roofing. I think he has the best process and I highly recommend using him

I strongly recommend Professional Roofing and Solar. I interviewed and got bids from three companies. No one was anywhere near as thorough in explaining every element of the job to me as was John, the owner of PRS. He is an extremely methodical, systematic, patient, thorough, knowledgeable, and competent professional. I was impressed and reassured by the detail with which he explained everything to me. His crew are all people who have been with him for years, and he does not use sub-contractors. Each step of the job (which took about 8 days) was done smoothly. The crews were all punctual, extremely hard working, very thoughtful and careful, and good at cleaning up at the end of each day. Not only I, but my neighbors as well, could tell that the job was being done with very high quality. At the very end, we needed to re-stucco and re-paint some parts of the upper house and John immediately understood and agreed that it was his responsibility to get that finishing work done to my satisfaction. And so it was. I couldn't be more satisfied with PRS and my new roof. I recommend this company very, very, very highly. I will add that they were the highest of the three bids, by quite a bit. But you get what you pay for. The attention to detail, the highly experienced in-house crew, and an additional insurance that only PRS carries which will cover not only repairing leaks but any damage to property inside your house.... You know a company is that good when they provide a policy like this to their customers -- because it means they know the quality of their work and that their customers will not need to deploy the policy

It was EXCELLENT! The demolition crew arrived at 7:00 am as promised on Day 1. There were at least 10 guys taking off the roof, the boards, etc. They worked quickly and were done with all removal by Day 2. Each day they cleaned up after themselves, swept for nails and metal debris, swept all around the house and were especially mindful of my elderly dog who likes her spot under the patio. On Day 2 which was a Saturday, and Day 3 (Monday) they arrived at 8:00 am to replace the boards. There were several guys painting the boards on the ground while others worked on the roof. The guys painting laid large pieces of tarp down underneath where they painted so there was no mess when they finished. For the paint, I just had to give one of the guys my paint choice and he went to a Dunn Edwards to buy the right shade and right paint. There was a small problem in that some of the screws went through in a few places inside and were visible since there is not crawl space. As soon as I showed the head guy, he told the others then had someone come out to fix the inside and paint it by the end of the job. By Day 5, there were just two guys meticulously putting the tiles on appropriately and taking their time to make sure it all lined up. They finished by 5:00 pm that day. The roof looks amazing! And it was done just in time before a big storm hit two weeks later. For payment, I only put down a $1000 deposit and was supposed to pay John, the owner, when the materials were delivered. He came by when I happen to be out running an errand and had to leave. His office called on Day 3 to say he would just take the payment at the end. We also discussed the payment and how much more over the estimate it would cost - which I had expected because of the number of boards that had to be replaced. She was polite and also explained some areas where they were able to cut costs a bit to try and save some money. No problem. John came by on Thursday evening at 4:00 pm, we had a nice conversation, he went through all that was done, the warranty and assured me if there was any problem to give him a call. It was great to work with the owner who obviously took pride in his business
"In 2015-2016 Jason (Bison Constructors) completely transformed the exterior of my house. There was severe dry-rot that had destroyed the 2nd floor deck and had eaten into structural beams holding up the 2nd floor bedroom. The board and batten siding was in seriously dilapidated condition. We had several dry-rot experts come to assess the damage. One said we should move out immediately because the house was about to fall down. He said he would charge $80K to repair the damage. Another contractor estimated $100K. Others wouldn't touch the project. We found Bison Constructors online and asked Jason to come out and inspect the damage. He noted that the 2nd floor was actually sagging several inches. He said he would have to remove some of the siding to see how the beams were run before he could give us an estimate. We gave him the go-ahead to remove what he needed to give us the estimate. I thought that was a good sign, that he was the first one to delve deep enough to find out what was going on before throwing out a huge bid. I braced myself waiting for his bid. Finally he sent us back a bid for $12,000. He showed us exactly what he would do, jacking up the second floor, replacing and reinforcing structural vertical beams, replacing horizontal beams on the other side of the house, completely rebuilding a new deck and replacing the rotting board and batten siding all around the house. We really had a sense that Jason knew what he was talking about and that we were in safe hands. The bid was so low compared to what we were expecting that we threw in replacing 2 sliders and 5 windows. That was phase one. I wanted a permanent solution to the board and batten siding that was still vulnerable to rot and needed a thorough paint job. I found a pre-painted composite siding called LP Smartside which is dry-rot and termite resistant and has a 30 year warranty. Jason gave us an estimate to tear off all the old batten and board siding and replace it with the Smartside, install a new chimney, replace 2 doors and 3 more windows. The price was very reasonable and he let me do any painting involved which saved me money. He researched the Smartside product to make sure he was installing it according to the manufacturer's specifications. The end result was stunning as you can see in the before and after pictures. Not only does it look like a new house it is also structurally sound and resistant to dry-rot and termites. Throughout the whole project Jason was the best person to work with. He always listened to what we wanted and worked with us to figure out the best way to do things. He would always keep us informed of what was going on, any possible delays or variations in cost that are inevitable on any big project. He also cooperated well with another contractor that was installing new gutters. He's extremely hard working, dependable and very smart. Also respectful of our privacy, didn't play loud music, etc. always cleaned up. We were really grateful to find Jason and refer him to all of our friends who need work done on their homes. Jason replaced a window for a friend of mine and the result came out fantastic. When the old window was removed the stucco had to be torn out 3 inches around the frame of the window. Jason replaced the window and repaired the stucco so well you can't tell it was repaired. See the picture! My friends are extremely happy with the way it turned out. We all agree that Jason is a true professional in every sense of the word. Thanks Jason for the amazing job you did on our house! You're the best!

"Our family is extremely happy with our recent amazing kitchen remodel by the Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen team. Being a family of 6 with 2 dogs, Remodel Works was professional and timely throughout the entire process. John De Luca, our designer and also known as the Kitchen Magician, Kitchenaire Extraordinaire, is just that — a magician. He is inspiring in his ability to see a space and the potential it has. His vision was unlike anything we imagined, but accomplished everything we needed. Not only is it incredibly functional but it is BEAUTIFUL! John De Luca was always willing to answer questions during the design process as well as throughout the entire remodel from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better designer and love how his vision was turned into a reality. Our Project Manager, Torrey Brown, was able to assemble a great team to complete our project on time with impeccable craftsmanship and wasn’t shy about rolling up his sleeves on site. Torrey was also available to answer questions or help with any changes we wanted to make along the way. John De Luca, Torrey Brown and the entire Remodel Works team always worked with our family with respect, kindness, and great work ethic to complete our kitchen remodel.
